    Abstract: An anti-theft system for a motor vehicle comprises an electrically-powered alarm, a switching device for actuating the alarm, and an electrical circuit connecting the switching device and the alarm. The switching device is attached to the motor vehicle and is provided with electrical contacts which automatically close the electrical circuit to actuate the alarm when the vehicle is in an inclined position.
