  • Patent number: 11473693
Abstract: A valve includes a solenoid with a chamber housing a pin that actuates when the solenoid is energized. The valve also includes a spool housed within a sleeve. The sleeve includes a supply section with a supply port in communication with a supply source and a tank section with a tank port in communication with a reservoir. The spool includes a body including a first passage receiving fluid from the supply source when an opening for the first passage aligns with the supply port. When the solenoid is energized and the opening for the first passage aligns with the supply port, fluid from the supply source (i) applies a force to the spool body in a direction of actuation by the pin and (ii) flows to a second passage within the valve.

  • Patent number: 11390319
Abstract: A valve for hydraulic parallel work systems is provided. The valve includes a first pair of ports, a second pair of ports, a first connection, and a second connection. The first connection is between the first pair of ports when the valve is in a load reaction-enabling state. The first connection transmits a load reaction from a load at a steering actuator to a steering device of a hydrostatic steering circuit. The second connection is between the second pair of ports when the valve is in an electro-hydraulic steering enabling state. The second connection fluidly connects a fluid source to an electro-hydraulic steering circuit.

  • Patent number: 9791062
Abstract: A hydraulic valve having a hollow valve body configured with a supply port and a supply port. The hollow valve body has several different internal diameters. An elongate spool is reciprocally received in the body and has a large diameter annular spool ring oriented adjacent a sensing land inside the hollow body forming a gap with a sensing land to cause a pressure drop across the gap in response to a flow of fluid from the pressure port through the gap to the control port. A servomotor reciprocally drives the spool lengthwise of the valve body against a spring force. When flow of fluid occurs in response to servomotor movement of the spool, the pressure drop across the gap combined with the spring force determines a pressure balanced location to which the spool is moved.

  • Patent number: 7628378
Abstract: A shielded solenoid for a solenoid operated valve having a solenoid body and an annular coil of electrical wire in the solenoid body. An armature of magnetic material is rectilinearly movable with respect to the body. A magnet holder is fastened to the armature and has a permanent magnet fixedly oriented thereon. A shield member covers the magnet holder and the permanent magnet. The shield member is configured to shield a Hall effect sensor from any significant electromagnetic field produced by the coil when effecting rectilinear movement of the armature. The hollow shield member has a non-metallic plug closing one end thereof. The plug has the Hall effect sensor oriented therein to closely oppose the magnet on the magnet holder so that movement of the armature and resulting corresponding movement of the magnet will cause the Hall effect sensor to produce a signal indicative of movement of the armature.

  • Patent number: 7343934
Abstract: A proportional pressure control valve which includes an electric first stage pilot having a single outlet port configured to provide a variable pressurized hydraulic fluid to the outlet port and at a pressure that is proportional to an electric input signal and which is variable between first and second values and further includes a second stage hydraulic valve which has a spool reciprocally moveable in a bore between first and second positions indicative of a full ON and a full OFF condition. A fluid isolation chamber is oriented in the bore and in a region between a control port and a tank port in the fluid pathway therebetween. The interior wall of the bore and the first and second diameter regions on the spool are configured to always provide a controlled volume fluid flow rate between the control port and the fluid isolation chamber.

  • Patent number: 6281772
Abstract: A rectilinear motion solenoid having a housing, an annular coil of electrical wire mounted in the housing and having a central hole therethrough. A first magnetic pole piece is oriented adjacent a first axial end face of the annular coil and a second magnetic pole piece oriented adjacent a second end face of said annular coil. An armature is movably mounted in the central hole. Two substantially linear springs are provided for securing the armature to the housing to effect a frictionless resilient suspension of the armature in the central hole. A closed chamber is filled with a liquid so that a disk movable with the armature is also movable in the chamber. A perimeter of the disk is oriented in close relation to an interior wall surface of the chamber to define a liquid flow restricting gap therebetween and effecting during operation a dynamic dampening of armature movement.

Abstract: A pressure control valve having an electric first stage pilot with a single pilot outlet port and providing a variable pressurized hydraulic fluid to the pilot outlet port and at a pressure that is proportional to an electric input signal variable between first and second values. A second stage hydraulic valve is provided which has a valve body with a spool reciprocally movable in a bore. A first end of the bore is coupled to the aforesaid pilot outlet port. A spring abutment is provided in the bore at a second end remote from the first end, and a spring is oriented between and abuts the spring abutment and one end of the spool remote from the pilot outlet port for urging the spool to oppose the pressurized hydraulic fluid at the pilot outlet port.

  • Patent number: 6019347
Abstract: A gas flow control valve for quietly regulating the flow of a gas. The valve includes first and second coaxially oriented elongate tubes of magnetic material and an elongate sleeve of nonmagnetic material coaxially connecting the tubes. An electric coil assembly is disposed around the sleeve. A cover of magnetic material is provided around the coil and is in contact with the tubes. A nozzle opening is disposed within the first tube and has a valve seat encircling the nozzle opening. An elongate armature is axially slidably disposed within the sleeve and the first and second tubes and is moveable between first and second positions. The armature has a first end with an elastomeric seal member which abuts the valve seat when the armature is in the first position thereof to block the flow of gas. The armature further includes a gas flow passageway extending axially to a second end thereof. An elastically yieldable member is provided for continually urging the armature toward the first position thereof.

  • Patent number: 4605197
Abstract: A proportional pressure control device having a motor with a housing and a reciprocably movable armature oriented in the housing for movement between first and second limit positions. A valve body is secured to the motor housing. A platelike poppet valve member is secured to the armature on at least one end thereof. The valve body has a fluid pressure port thereon and it extends into the interior of the valve body to a chamber. A flow restrictor device is provided in the pressure port to restrict fluid flow from an external pressure source into the pressure port and the chamber. A nozzle outlet structure is provided in the chamber and has an annular flat valve seat thereon directly opposing the poppet valve member. The spacing between the valve seat and the poppet valve member effects a controlling of the magnitude of the fluid pressure developed in the chamber.
