  • Patent number: 5037230
Abstract: Linkage assemblies for doors or windows, in which the leaf frame is partly lap-jointed to the fixed frame, where an upper and lower assembly are respectively fixed in fillisters, both assemblies of which include an auxiliary compass arm. The upper and lower assemblies are each also fitted with a second compass arm of which one extremity is mounted slidingly in the lower and upper rail of the fixed frame. The configuration of the assemblies enable the offsetting, in the course of French opening, the rear stile of the leaf frame in the relation to the rear stile of the fixed frame. The doors or window, which can be of considerable size and weight, nevertheless are securely supported for the aforementioned movement, including movement about a vertical axis through an angle of opening of more than ninety degrees.

  • Patent number: 4936009
Abstract: An assembly device includes automatic assembly facilities to bring together the different parts of an angle linkage. Such automatic assembly facilities are made up of an assembly machine including, in particular, a conveyer moving forward step-by-step in order to progressively bring the angle linkage adjacent to an assembly position and/or a series of assembly positions. The machine, moreover, includes a device for imparting forward motion, a device for putting the different parts integrally connected with the conveyer in the active position and/or the waiting position, a device for the lateral displacement of riveting, facilities for monitoring, and in combination with these devices, facilities for rotation giving the angle linkage a succession of sequential rotation movements causing certain parts of the angle linkage to face successively upwardly.

  • Patent number: 4902056
Abstract: A locking fitting for the sliding leaf of a window, door, or similar type closure which includes, in its housing, a slide connected to a bolt with a hook. The hook cooperates with a keeper which is fixed against movement with the fixed frame. After the movable closure is opened, the hooked bolt is maintained in its unlocked position by a blocking device having an elastic return. Further, the blocking device is formed by an assembly separate from the slide and includes a support which is clamped in the U-section of the movable closure. The support is fitted with a blocking lever which cooperates with the keeper when the movable closure is closed so as to free the hooked bolt for movement and, in consequence, the slide.
