Abstract: A device for removing calculi by using an intracorporeal lithotripter (1) including a probe (2) transmitting impact waves is characterized by a guiding tube (5) for the probe, which is adapted for introduction into the operating passage of an endoscope and which is provided with a suction and/or extraction passage (8, 9, 10, 15) for removal of the calculi fragmented by means of the probe, for connexion to a suction pump.
Abstract: The device consists of a permanent module (10) and a removable cassette (11). The permanent module comprises a housing (12) with control keys (13) and physical value indicators (14), and two drive hubs (20, 21) for driving two peristaltic pumps mounted in a cassette. The inlet duct (15) of the first pump is connected to a container of physiological liquid, the outlet duct (16) of this pump supplies said liquid to the operating zone, and the duct (17) of the second pump is connected to an operating instrument to drain off the liquid, the duct (18) of this second pump being coupled with a drainage circuit.
Abstract: The device comprises a shock wave generator (1, 2, 3) of the ballistic type comprising a projectile (1) provided to execute a to and fro movement within a guide tube, under the control of pneumatic means (13, 14, 5) disposed at one end of this guide tube. A waveguide (4, 19) exhibits an entrance interface (9) situated at the other end of the guide tube (2) and provided to be struck periodically by the projectile and thus to generate, by ballistic effect, ultrasonic shock waves. This waveguide per se is formed by a metal rod, one end of which forms the abovementioned entrance interface and can oscillate longitudinally within a guide (12), while its other end is provided to act by impact on the object (21) to be destroyed or to be processed.
Abstract: In an ultrasonic generator the driver circuit of a piezoelectric converter is provided with a switching regulator under control of a microcomputer, the pulse duty factor and frequency of the switching regulator being controlled in response to the converter's impedance which is detected by means of a measuring circuit.
