Abstract: A transportable machining unit for machining a workpiece with a tool, including a box-shaped support structure placed on a support and having a lower part with a workpiece support plate, and a drive unit for mechanically driving the tool arranged at least partially in the lower part and fastened thereto ready for operation so that the drive unit remains at least partially in the lower part during machining of the workpiece by the tool driven by the drive unit. The support structure has a coupling arrangement suitable for coupling in a state in which the support structure together with at least one box-shaped body forms a vertical stack, to provide a releasable, vertically tension-proof coupling with the at least one box-shaped body.
