Abstract: A device for locking and unlocking any member, comprising a bolt slidably mounted within a body and having a rear part and a front part to co-operate with a notch provided in said member in which a first electromagnet operates with its core in the bolt, the rear part of which may co-operate with the core of a second electromagnet to hold the bolt against motion within the body in a locked position on the member or in an unlocked position.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a lock with a double locking mechanism comprising a first locking mechanism having tumblers movable by a first key to authorize the operation, by means of a second key, of a second locking mechanism comprising a bolt associated with a releasable fingered bolt-retaining member through the medium of a link bar pivotally mounted on the releasable member and pivotally connected by one of its ends to the bolt, whereas the other end of the bar is adapted to co-operate with a retractable stop controlled from a distance.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a security device against attacks on a lock comprising a member mounted pivotally on a lock body and one end of which retains a finger constantly acted upon by a spring, whereas the other end of the member is provided with a slot identical in shape with at least a portion of the lock inlet receiving the key.

Abstract: A safety lock is provided with two plate assemblies, the first to be mounted on the outside of the door leaf and the second on the inside thereof. Each one of these plate assemblies comprises a first plate adapted to be placed on the side of the door leaf and having a first opening for receiving an actuating mechanism, a second opening housing a transmission gear mechanism, and corner holes for passing fasteners which hold the two plate assemblies together. A second plate is on the outer face of the first plate which comprises holes providing bearings for each gear of the transmission mechanisms as well as holes wider than the ends of the fasteners for housing the same therein. A third plate is spot welded on the outer face of the second plate and prevents access to the transmission mechanism. In the outer plate assembly, this third plate covers the ends of the fasteners and has only one hole, shaped in correspondence with the respective key hole opening of the cylinder lock.

Abstract: In the event of an alarm being raised (e.g. by a sensor 34) by an attempt at breaking into a protected space (36) such as a safe or a strong room, a rapidly hardening foam is suddenly projected around or into the space to be protected. The expanding foam can also be used to drive additional door-barring means into position. The foam may be made by mixing two components that react together. The components can then be stored in tanks (23, 24), where they occupy little volume until the alarm is raised. The components are mixed in a mixing head (27) and projected into the space through a nozzle (28).

Abstract: A bolt assembly used for locking and unlocking a door-leaf, which comprises a bolt movable from the outside by a key introduced into the barrel of a safety cylinder, the housing of the barrel comprising a flange which can be immobilized in rotation and translation by three plates fixed to the outer surface of the door by bolt means, a fourth plate covering said bolt means. This plate is treated against drilling, and the last three plates are soldered to each other and lodged in a housing.By loosening the bolt means and removing the first plate, the safety cylinder can be replaced.

Abstract: There is disclosed a Bramah lock which comprises locking lever bars mounted for longitudinal displacement and rotation, said bars having each two cuttings, thereby providing the lock with a double safety device as long as the bars are not actuated by the key to their unlocked position. The lock is therefore a double security lock offering an increased resistance to unauthorized attempts to pick it and a larger number of combinations.

Abstract: A pivot device is disclosed for use in connection with the doors of containers such as safes, vaults and the like. It provides for the door to consecutively pivot around two separate axes when it is fully opened or closed. The pivots themselves are located within the container to prevent tampering.

Abstract: Combination lock for the control of the retraction of a lock latch comprising a multiplicity of notched members each displaceable as a function of a numeral or number in the combination, in order that, upon display of the right combination, the notches are aligned with a device for retracting the latch, characterized in that said device comprises means such that, by acting on a same member for instance a button, in a first phase the rake can be moved towards engagement with the notches then aligned, and in a second phase the driving of the latch in a retraction movement can be ensured.

Abstract: A combination lock intended to equip a door of a safe, chest or strong room is disclosed in which both the setting up of the opening combination and the control of said opening are obtained using a single operating member.It comprises:(i) a multiplicity of ward-toothed wheel couples, each ward having a rack-gear with which co-operates the associated wheel adapted to be driven into rotation by the operating member;(ii) catches of the same number as that of the wards and integral with a rake the motion of which, controlled by the operating member is only possible after the setting up of the combination;(iii) bolt blocking means, integral with the rake and adapted to co-operate with a bearing of the tail of the bolt in order to allow or prevent the latter's sliding motion; and(iv) a bolt driving mechanism which carries actuating means for a device intended to jam the combination.

Abstract: A safety lock and its actuation key are disclosed. The lock comprises an apertured barrel mounted in a cylinder which barrel can be rotated with respect to the cylinder when notched cams inside said barrel have their notches aligned, so that by rotating the key at least one longitudinal catch placed between the barrel and said cylinder can take place into said aligned notches. The apertures form two couples of shanks perpendicular to a central channel for the key body and the shanks of a couple are offset in height with respect to one another.
