    Abstract: An adjusting device designed to adjust the length of control cables made up of two half-cables which are connected by a linking device having two exterior linking bodies and two interior linking bodies. The adjusting device includes a coaxially arranged stem provided with retaining teeth which forms one of the exterior linking bodies, a sheath terminal body, a fixing jacket and a fixing ring provided with retaining teeth. Upon rotation of the fixing jacket and fixing ring, a locking assembly is disengaged and the length of the cable may be adjusted. The adjusting device may also include a thrust sleeve and a thrust spring designed so that the adjusting device is permanently subjected to a force biased to reduce its length when unlocked.

The control cable length adjustment is made by pulling apart the intermediate ends (14,15) of the sheath (4) to deform the retaining coil (26) and move it from the inside to the outside of the base body (5) or by screwing the base body (5) on the stem (6) in either direction via the retaining coil (26).

The resilient compensating diaphragm and the end wall bound a compensating chamber having a variable volume depending on a pressure of the liquid contained in the hydraulic pressure cylinder and acting on the outer surface of the resilient compensating diaphragm.

    Abstract: A check valve for pistons of hydraulic self-adjusting devices comprises a flow body (10) formed by a frustoconical portion linked at the smaller diameter end thereof with a cylindrical portion the free end of which is attached to the inner end of the rod of the device, and by a stopper body coaxial with said rod and which may freely slide on said cylindrical portion. The axial bore of the stopper body has at the end thereof facing the flow body a seal seat of progressively increasing size dimensioned to mate with the sealing gasket of the flow body. The configuration of the seal seat and of the sealing gasket cause progressive closing of the valve when the rod is pulled, which allows during closing the flow of fluid between both half-chambers of the main body.
