Abstract: A learning relationship management system includes a personal learning plan unit in which a student of an educational institution sets his or her long-range educational and learning goals, and an advising unit that facilitates communications between students and their educational advisors. The learning relationship management system may include a teaching unit that facilitates creating online courses for students and providing them with the online courses. Automatic monitoring of student engagement in and achievement toward goals and activities can provide advisors with notifications of flags for students who fall behind, thereby allowing advisors or others to communicate with and support students at early sign of educational difficulty.
