  • Patent number: 5946766
Abstract: The invention provides a cleaning method for removing dirt on an industrial belt and a cleaning belt used in the same. A cleaning belt having through-holes is provided onto an industrial belt. The cleaning belt comprises structural unit pieces in parallel to one another in a lengthwise direction. Each of the unit pieces is loosely interconnected and has a play such that the unit piece can move. The movement gives vibration onto the industrial belt when the cleaning belt is brought in contact with the surface of a running industrial belt. Then dirt on the industrial belt is removed through the through-holes.

  • Patent number: 5840378
Abstract: An endless woven fabric for condensing paper material and a method for forming such an endless fabric which removes ink and other extraneous substances from the aqueous solution of reclaimed paper material. On the endless fabric formed by weaving plastic monofilaments, an antiflexing part, 30-50 mm in width, is provided on at least one end of the selvage in the direction of width by causing thermoplastic resin to fill not less than 85% of an empty space in the endless woven fabric. Further, a guide ridge of thermoplastic resin is formed by causing thermoplastic resin to fill an empty space in the end parts on the running surface of the endless fabric, and is welded with the antiflexing part integrally. Platelike reinforcing strips are formed in a length nearly equal to the width of the endless fabric. The strips are extended between the opposite ends of the endless fabric by causing thermoplastic resin of the strips to fill not less than 85% of an empty space in the endless fabric.

Abstract: A single layer woven fabric for paper-making, in which at least a pair of two successive knuckles in the paper-making side at an interval of one warp, and at least one crimp in the running side form a plain weave structure. The knuckle be formed by allowing a weft to pass over one warp, to pass under one adjacent warp, and then to pass over the one warp. The crimp be formed by allowing a weft to pass under not less than three successive warps. The plain weave structure is formed by binding two or three wefts constituting a group which in turn constitutes a repeating unit and by placing the combined group, in the direction of wefts, so that the knuckles of wefts in the paper-making side are placed successively at an interval of one warp. The placement of the wefts group is made by shifting the group as the whole successively by a distance corresponding to an odd number of the warp.

  • Patent number: 5360038
Abstract: A shedding device and a method for joining the ends of a fabric into an endless belt of fabric, or, alternatively, joining the ends of separate pieces of fabric into a single piece of fabric. The shedding device employs a plurality of heddles supported at only one end, allowing the heddles to be individually moved or adjusted. The heddles are connected to the top ends of piston rods of a plurality of pneumatic cylinders. The heddles move up and down to shift threads passing through the heddles, so as to form a shed. The shedding method employs an interweaving piece of fabric, with a portion of the interweaving piece having only weft threads. The weft thread of the interweaving piece interwoven with the warp threads of the ends of the fabric to be joined. Alternatively, the weft threads of the interweaving piece can be interwoven with the weft threads of the ends of the fabric to be joined.

  • Patent number: 5273631
Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining the concentration of chloride ions and bromide ions employing one and the same serum specimen and one measuring electrode assembly consisting of a working electrode, a counter electrode and a reference electrode which is covered with a polymer film having fine porosity being disposed in a serum specimen. The potential level of the working electrode is cyclically changed within the first predetermined range to determine the total amount of coulombs based on the total amount of chloride ions and bromide ions present with specimen. Then the potential level of the working electrode is cyclically changed within the second predetermined range to determine the amount of coulombs attributable to bromide ions and subsequently the amount of coulombs attributed to the chloride ions concentration is calculated by subtracting the latter from the former and finally determining both ion concentrations by referring to a calibration curve.
