Abstract: A fastener for releasably joining elements of a garment has a male part formed with a pair of oppositely projecting tongues each having a latch tab. A first female part adapted to be mounted on one of the elements is formed with a socket complementary to one of the tongues and is provided with a formation that latches with the tab of the respective tongue when same is inserted in the socket. A second female part adapted to be mounted on the other of the elements is similarly formed with a socket complementary to the other of the tongues, and is provided with a manually releasable latch formation that can move between a holding position latched with the tab of the respective tongue when same is inserted into the respective socket and a freeing position allowing the respective tongue to withdraw from the respective socket.

Abstract: A one-step fabric fastener has a front element (20) formed with a backwardly open seat cavity (21d) holding a magnet (22) and having a pair of catch faces (21g, 21h) directed away from one end of the front element, flanking the seat cavity, and angled such that front edges of the catch faces are closer to the one end than back edges of catch faces. The one end of the front element can exert traction on the front element and front magnet in a direction toward the one end. A back element (30) formed with a forwardly projecting bump (26a) holding a back magnet (27) is loosely fittable in the seat cavity has a pair of catch faces (26c, 26d) engageable in the direction with the front—element catch faces on engagement of the bump in the cavity. The magnets attract each other and pull the bump into the seat cavity on juxtaposition of the front and back element.

Abstract: In the case of a closure for connecting two straps of an item of clothing, in particular the wing end portions of the back band of a bra, on one of which is arranged an overall female closure part, there is provided a plurality of female closure elements that form at least one row, and on the other of which is arranged an overall male closure part, which includes at least two male closure elements that can be moved into force-fitting/form-fitting engagement with female closure elements from one row of the female closure part. The closure elements are arranged in each case on a preferably textile base strip, which is rectangular in basic form, acts as a carrier and serves for fastening the respective closure parts on their associated band wing ends, which overlap in their end regions in the closed configuration.

Abstract: A fastener for securing together two garment strap ends having confronting faces has at least male elements mounted on the face of one of the strap ends and respective female elements mounted on the face of the other strap end, generally complementary to the male element, and, with the faces touching or closely juxtaposed, slidably engageable in a direction parallel to the faces with the male elements to fasten the two strap ends together. Respective male and female magnets on the strap ends are oriented so as to hold the strap ends in a finder position with the faces engaging or closely juxtaposed with each other and the male and female elements spaced in the direction and disengaged from each other so that displacement of the strap ends apart in the direction from the finder position will engage and lock together the male and female elements.

Abstract: A brassiere closure has a pair of closure parts each having an eye with inner and outer parallel longitudinal webs. A separation plane passes through both of the webs and the slot, and a transverse central plane perpendicular to the separation plane passing centrally through the slot and both of the webs. A bridge extend transversely from the inner web has a planar floor face lying on the separation plane and is formed offset along the separation plane from the transverse plane with a throughgoing latch opening. A hook carried on the bridge spaced has an edge formed of sections directed toward and forming a V-shaped opening with the edge of the bridge. An outer edge of the hook carries a pin engageable in the closed position through a latch opening of the bridge of the other closure part.

Abstract: A brassiere back closure has an inelastic textile patch attached to the end of one of the brassiere wings and carries a plurality of transversely extending and longitudinally spaced rows each having at least two transversely spaced eyes on the back face. A flat body has an inner end attached to the end of the other of the wings, an opposite outer end, a front face at least partially overlapping at the outer end the back face of the patch, and a back face opposite the body front face. Respective plastic hooks generally complementary to and matable with the eyes are fixed to the body front face at the outer end so as to align with and interfit with the eyes. A transversely rigid bar on or forming part of the body prevents transverse relative movement of the hooks and bending of the body at the hooks.

Abstract: An inlay for reinforcing a bra cup is a pliably resilient plastics material part having the basic shape of a crescent with inner and outer edges that are curved and that have a spacing that increases continuously between a minimum value at one end and a maximum value at an opposite end. A rigidity of the inlay decreases from the outer edge to the inner edge. The inlay is manufactured flat such that a central face running between wide delimiting faces lies in a plane. The inlay is made of a material that is plastically deformable under the action of temperature for form-fitting or material-to-material connection to the textile material layers of the cups.

Abstract: A length adjuster for connection between two parts of a garment has a flexible tape having an outer end adapted for fixing to one of the garment parts and formed with a longitudinally extending row of grooves and an inner end. A buckle has a base formed with a seat and an upper face from which projects a tooth. A clamp has a lower face turned toward the upper face and pivotal on the base between a position closely juxtaposed with the tooth and a position farther away from the tooth. The tape extends through the buckle between the faces with the grooves open toward and fittable with the tooth and with the inner end fixed in the seat. The tape forms a loop to a side of the buckle opposite the outer end. Structure forms an eye through which the loop passes and through which the tape can slide.

Abstract: A pair of brassiere wings having ends meeting on a longitudinal centerline are interconnected by a closure having a flexible first patch fixed to on of the wing ends and provided with a plurality of fastener members and a flexible second patch fixed to the other of the wing ends and provided with a fastener member engageable with the members of the first patch. A stiff bar extending transversely of the centerline is fixed to the second patch and concave toward a wearer of a brassiere having the wings. One of the patches is of a shape that is longest parallel to the centerline than transversely offset therefrom so that it reduces longitudinal elastic deformation of the respective wing end at the centerline more than offset therefrom.
