Patents Assigned to Filmosto-Projektion Johannes Jost GmbH & Co.
  • Patent number: 4779366
Abstract: The holder serves for fixing sheet-like picture material between a back wall (1) and a transparent front pane, which together with the picture material can be exchanged towards the front side. The back wall (1) is designed as one piece with a frame (2) extending around the inserted picture material and the front pane and projecting towards the face side. Frame segments disposed on opposing sides (3, 4) of the frame each support at least one holding attachment (5, 6) and each are cut free by a through-extending opening (12, 13) disposed adjacent the holding attachment, wherein in each case one of said openings is aligned with a holding attachment, exposing an area in the back wall (1) which is larger than the parallel projection of the projecting holding attachment. One (13) of the through-extending openings is shaped in a way such that it can be penetrated by the user with the end of a finger in order to lift out the picture material and front pane for exchanging the picture.

  • Patent number: 4662960
Abstract: The film (3) is introduced prior cutting in an open frame (1) arranged in a seizing position until the portion of film to be framed (3a) has reached its final position within the frame. Thereafter, the film portion is secured in its final position and then cut by an appropriate device arranged at the vicinity of the frame opening. The cutting device (5) is then removed by displacement with respect to the frame (1) held in a fixed position, the film portion is maintained within the frame and the latter is finally closed. Hence, the seizing devices are avoided; furthermore, the film portion (3a) is placed in its correct position within the frame (1). An auxiliary guiding device (8) removed from the film guide (4), arranged on the side opposite to the cutting device (5), provides for the positioning of the film portion, said portion should present the last image of the film without being guided in the guiding conduit (4).

  • Patent number: 4532727
Abstract: The frame is provided with several, at least partially straight sides and outwardly projecting locking elements formed on all sides, which are of such a complementary configuration that each side of a frame can be coupled with one side of another frame through the locking elements and several frames can be united in one plane to form a frame panel. The frame bodies can be injection molded from plastic in one piece with the locking elements. In another frame embodiment, each frame has a base plate and a frame overlay which can be fixed on the latter by fastening means, the outwardly projecting locking elements being formed on the outside margin of the base plate. The locking elements have preferably identical profiles and interspacing on all frames, so that frames of different frame sizes can be combined without problems.
