  • Patent number: 10017260
Abstract: Nacelles are provided having a tubular casing, open at its opposite axial ends, with an inner wall and an outer wall which are connected to each other at the front end along a leading edge and at the rear end along a trailing edge and which enclose, together with the leading edge and the trailing edge, a cavity. To prevent the formation of ice at least in the zone of the leading edge of the nacelle, a separating member made of porous material is arranged inside the cavity to divide the cavity into an inner cavity, between the inner wall and the porous separating member, and an outer cavity, between the outer wall and the porous separating member, and to put the inner cavity in fluid communication with the outer cavity only in a front zone of the cavity in contact with the leading edge, and a two-phase fluid is contained in the cavity.

  • Patent number: 9989646
Abstract: Described herein is a receiver for a navigation system, which receives a navigation signal modulated with a pseudorandom sequence along a line-of-sight path and reflected paths. The receiver includes a delay-locked loop, which generates a local sequence, and a first correlator and a second correlator, which operate in open-loop mode and generate a first correlation signal.

  • Patent number: 9550626
Abstract: Machines for sorting objects having a series of carriages fixed at a given interval (P) to two drive belts configured to move along closed-loop paths in two parallel vertical planes are provided. Each path may include a top horizontal section and a bottom horizontal section joined together by two curved connecting end sections. Two end assemblies may be arranged at the curved end sections of the path. Each assembly may include crown gears which are configured to engage with the belts and a series of sliders which are configured to retain the carriages along a semicircular section close to the crown gears. The carriages are thus able to perform a rotary/translational movement along the end connecting sections and keep their support surface horizontally oriented.

  • Patent number: 8664604
Abstract: A system for surveillance of a delimited area within which people move, wherein at least one hollow optical fiber is configured for extending through the area and is provided throughout its length with a plurality of holes that set an internal channel of the fiber in communication with the outside of the fiber itself. There is provided an optical source configured for supplying the optical signal to one end of the hollow optical fiber and a sensor designed to detect at one end of the hollow optical fiber the optical signal transmitted throughout the length of the fiber itself. A processing unit is configured for examining the spectrum of the optical signal detected by the sensors in order to detect the presence of toxic agents present in the area and drawn into said channel.
