  • Publication number: 20090230720
Abstract: The openable roof system (R) comprises: a covering element or roof (3) which in the vicinity of its rear end (3b) is mounted rotatably about a horizontal axis (4) between two parallel side uprights (5) of the bodywork of the motor car (1), close to the rear of the passenger compartment (2), and; an essentially vertical stowage compartment (6) open towards the top, formed in the motor car (1) between and below said uprights (5). The arrangement is such that the covering element or roof (3) can be pivoted about the axis (4) between a closed position, where it is arranged so as to lie at least approximately horizontally, and a midway open position, where it is arranged so as to lie substantially vertically. The covering element or roof (3) is then displaceable downwards from said midway open position into a final concealed position where it is contained so as to lie substantially vertically inside the stowage compartment (6).

  • Publication number: 20070252413
Abstract: The supporting structural element (1) comprises a shaped rigid body (2) in which are formed: two transversely adjacent cellular formations (3), intended to receive corresponding padding means (4, 5) to form seats; each of the said cellular formations (3) has a seat portion (3a) and a backrest portion (3b); an intermediate formation (6) shaped like an inverted channel, which interconnects the seat portions (3a) of the aforesaid cellular formations (3), forming a tunnel (7); a horizontal or virtually horizontal upper planar formation (9), which interconnects the upper backrest portions (3b) of the cellular formations (3), and a rear formation (10), essentially in the shape of a dihedral, with a first wing or skirt (10a) which is substantially horizontal and extends behind the seat portions (3a) of the cellular formations (3), and with a second wing or skirt (10b) which extends between the upper planar formation (9) and the said first wing or skirt (10a), behind and distant from the backrest portions (3b) of the

  • Publication number: 20030147252
Abstract: The system comprises a pair of optical assemblies, left and right respectively, each including a support base on which a plurality of optical elements are mounted, and a transparent cover for protecting the optical elements and being passed through by the light emitted by these latter. Each optical element includes a LED light source controllable by a remote control unit and is intended to carry out one function from the group comprising position light, dipped-beam headlight, main-beam headlight, fog headlight and turn indicator light. By virtue of the use of LED optical elements, it is possible to provide optical assemblies of small sizes, the shape of which can be adapted easily to that of the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 6527332
Abstract: A motorcar with an openable hard top is of the type in which the roof (2) comprises a front portion (3) connected releasably to the upper cross-member of the windscreen (5) and a transparent rear portion (4) which is articulated about a horizontal transverse axis (6) to two side pillars (7) of the body. The roof (2) can be opened in known manner by being pivoted rearwardly about the said transverse axis (6) until it bears on the rear boot lid (10) which has two front arms (11) that extend upwards and are articulated to the body about the same horizontal transverse axis (6) about which the roof (2) is articulated. When the roof is in the closed position, the end edge (4a) of the transparent rear portion (4) of the roof (2) is situated at the same height as the bases of the two side pillars (7) of the body to which the roof (2) is articulated.

  • Patent number: 5247831
Abstract: A method for controlling the movement of a motor vehicle provided with tires which cooperate with the ground to define respective footprints includes monitoring the behavior of the footprints and generating at least one respective footprint signal indicative of the behavior of the footprints, using the footprint signal to control the movement of the motor vehicle and detecting at least one driving control signal generated by the driver and processing the driving control signal in dependence on the footprint signal for controlling the movement of the motor vehicle. A suitable system for carrying out the method is provided which includes extensometric transducers incorporated in the flexible structure of the tire which will deform as a result of the tire bearing on the ground so as to generate signals indicative of the behavior of the bearing region of the tread.
