Abstract: Fire extinguishing systems and methods, such as for combating compartment fires, can include or use wet and dry agents such as water droplets and aerosol-based particulate extinguisher agents. In an example, an extinguishing system includes a centralized extinguishing controller that can selectively provide the wet and dry agents to a compartment or environment. In other examples, dedicated dispenser systems separately, but optionally concurrently, provide water and aerosol-based agents to combat a compartment fire.

Abstract: A dual release circuit comprises a plurality of pyrotechnic initiators electrically interconnected in series, a plurality of subcircuits electrically interconnected between the pyrotechnic initiators to form at least a first circuit route to electrically interconnect the plurality of pyrotechnic initiators and a second circuit route to electrically interconnect the pyrotechnic initiators, and a control unit electrically connected to the first circuit route and the second circuit route and configured to monitor a first parameter of the first circuit route, monitor a second parameter of the second circuit route, detect when at least one of the first parameter and the second parameter is outside of a specified parameter range, generate an alert indication according to the detection and be able to release the pyrotechnic initiators in response to a release request.

Abstract: A fire suppression device includes a container body having a discharge orifice. A cooling assembly is coupled along an inner wall of the container body and includes a cooling housing body and an agent cup seat. An agent assembly coupled along the inner wall includes an agent cup with a fire suppression agent generator therein. An agent cup fitting is near an end of the agent cup and is coupled with the agent cup seat. Spacing members extend between the inner wall and at least one of the cooling housing body and the agent cup. The plurality of spacing members space the cooling housing body and the agent cup from the inner wall. An insulation layer is coupled between the inner wall and the plurality of spacing members, and a portion of the insulation layer is clamped between the spacing members and the inner wall.
