Publication number: 20250128364Abstract: The present invention has a block with a cylindrical stud and a cylindrical hole. A hex-head screw has a screw head portion, a middle portion and a threaded portion. The threaded portion of the hex-head screw can be fitted to the base of a clamp through the cylindrical hole, so that the clamp can freely rotate, using the cylindrical stud as a pivoting point, and the clamp's location on a welding table can be shifted to provide a proper location on the surface of a workpiece. The cylindrical stud has an overall length sufficient to extend through the thickness of a welding table opening, where a matching lock nut can be easily used to screw on to threaded portion of the stud, thus tightening the clamp in place. When the clamp handle is engaged, the cylindrical stud, even if the lock nut is not used, binds to a welding table opening, but when the clamp handle is disengaged, the clamp can rotate as the cylindrical stud rotates in the welding table opening without angle limitation.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2024Publication date: April 24, 2025Applicant: Fireball Tool Works LLCInventor: Jason A Marburger

Patent number: 12179324Abstract: A modular clamp is described. An example modular clamp includes a clamp assembly and a removable base member. The modular clamp includes multiple rotational aspects located an offset distance from one another and is thus usable to secure workpieces in a variety of positions and orientations while providing access for working thereon. The modular clamp further can be used in a variety of configurations and implementations to achieve a range of different working applications, which is not possible using conventional table clamps.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2022Date of Patent: December 31, 2024Assignee: FIREBALL TOOL WORKS LLCInventors: Jason A. Publication number: 20240165760Abstract: Adjustable length block assemblies are described. In an example, an adjustable length block assembly includes a block body with a tooth surface, a plate member with a tooth surface, and an adjustable block component. The tooth surfaces of the plate member and the block body are engageable to interlock the plate member with the block body. Thus, the block body is engageable with the plate member at multiple different positions to support repositioning of the adjustable length block assembly. Further, the adjustable block component is operable to control an overall length of the adjustable length block assembly to support precise adjustments to the adjustable length block assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 22, 2024Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicant: FIREBALL TOOL WORKS LLCInventors: Jason A. Patent number: 11878383Abstract: Positionable block assemblies are described. Example block assemblies include a block body with a tooth surface and a plate member with a tooth surface. The tooth surfaces of the plate member and the block body are engageable to interlock the plate member with the block body. Further, the block body is engageable with the plate member at multiple different positions to enable precise positioning of a positionable block assembly to achieve a variety of different working scenarios.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2021Date of Patent: January 23, 2024Assignee: FIREBALL TOOL WORKS LLCInventors: Jason A. Patent number: 11241765Abstract: Workpiece-holding tools and techniques are described. Workpiece-holding tools and techniques are usable to ensure consistent and durable alignment of various workpieces while providing access for performing attachment techniques thereon. In one example, the workpiece-holding tool is configured to allow objects to be held or removably affixed to an alignment surface. Holding objects with the workpiece-holding tool ensures that the alignment of objects with an alignment surface does not change while a user is operating upon a workpiece, e.g., as by joining aligned objects together, without interfering or obstructing access to the objects. The ability to hold objects is enhanced by the inclusion of cutouts that provide increased access to interior surfaces of the workpiece-holding tool, such as to increase the area available for use of clamps or other fastening devices.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2020Date of Patent: February 8, 2022Assignee: Fireball Tool Works, LLCInventor: Jason A. Patent number: 10639757Abstract: Workpiece-alignment tools and techniques are described. Workpiece-alignment tools and techniques are usable to ensure consistent and durable alignment of various workpieces while providing access for performing attachment techniques thereon. In one example, the workpiece-alignment tool includes alignment surfaces that are joined to one another and oriented at corresponding specific angles. The workpiece-alignment tool includes accessibility cutouts and access spaces that provide a user simultaneous access to points around a joint formed by objects aligned with the alignment surfaces. In this way, the workpiece-alignment tool provides accessibility that allows a user to operate upon a workpiece, e.g., as by joining aligned objects together, without interfering or obstructing access to the objects.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2017Date of Patent: May 5, 2020Assignee: Fireball Tool Works, LLCInventor: Jason A.
