Abstract: The present invention is a centrifuge essentially comprised of a rotor and a transparent cover which can be fixed to the rotor. The cover is provided with a plurality of spaced concentration lines each extending around the cover and a plurality of different graduated scales extending radially from the center of the cover across the concentration lines at spaced angular intervals. The rotor and the cover also have opposing snap lock elements at a central portion of the rotor and the cover.
Abstract: A rotor for a swivel beaker centrifuge with mountings for several swivel beakers ensures that the rotor is formed essentially as a horizontal disk and recesses have been prepared in the disk in which arms of the swivel beaker engage, whereby the centrifugal force acting on the swivel beakers is transferred with its stress from the arms to the external radial edge of the respective slit in the rotor disk.
Abstract: The centrifugation chamber serves in particular for liquor testing, the liquid to be tested being arranged in a vessel whose bottom area is formed by a slide retained in a bottom part, there being arranged at least at the outer circumference of the vessel a suction element which lies on the lower part. The upper part is clampable on the lower part by means of a clamping device, so that different size upper parts can be used with a single lower part.
Abstract: A protective device is provided for capillary tublets during centrifuging of blood by means of a centrifuge. The tubelets are placed on the disk of a centrifuge and pointed radially outwardly from the rotation axis of the disk in such a way the closed ends of the capillary tublets are directed towards a wall side of the disk. The protective device comprises a protective tube with a stopper. The tubelets are disposed in the protective tube. The stopper is propped against the disk wall of the disk of centrifuge during the centrifuging process.
Abstract: An angular cap for a centrifuge, in which test tubes containing material to be centrifuged are disposed in vertically inclined holders, the cap having a hub adapted to be mounted on a motor shaft of the centrifuge, said cap including a vertically inclined, continuous annular groove extending along the circumference of the cap and a plurality of breaker-like vertically inclined inserts adapted to be positioned in the annular groove disposed in a row for holding the test tubes, the breaker-like inserts each having protrusions disposed on the outside of an upper part of the insert, facing one another, which when the inserts are dipsosed in a row in the annular groove produce a continuous, smooth, annular surface.
Abstract: A centrifuge chamber for cytodiagnostic investigation of epithelial cells contained in a sample, wherein a cell suspension investigated is placed in a first bore of a sample chamber containing a plurality of bores disposed parallel to one another and subjected to a centrifuging process. During a centrifuging process, the sample fluid is separated into a proximal fraction and a distal fraction, and the proximal fraction is then separated by the centrifuging process so that it is transferred via a flow connection provided between the first and second bores, into the second bore. In addition to automatic separation of the proximal and distal fractions during the centrifuging process, it is also possible to perform a staining procedure during the centrifuging process.
