  • Patent number: 5593209
Abstract: A locking device for a longitudinal-adjustment device of a vehicle seat. The longitudinal-adjustment device includes two pairs of rails, each of which being releasably lockable by a catch and consisting of a floor rail and a seat rail. The seat rails being connected to a seat support through a height-adjustment device. An activation lever of the locking device is laterally hinged to the seat support and serves to activate the catch. This activation lever is hinge-connected to a transmission link which in turn is hinged to the seat rail and has a locking area which includes the catch or activates a separate catch.

  • Patent number: 5466047
Abstract: The back-rest hinge is intended for a vehicle seat with a seat support (20) and a back-rest, which is hinged to this support by means of a swivel joint (shaft 28), and a locking mechanism (44 to 58) for adjusting the angle of inclination of the back-rest (30) in relation to the seat support (20). A locking lever is hinged to the back-rest at a hinge point which is at a distance from the swivel joint along the lengthwise direction of the back-rest (30). The locking lever (38) has a locking area which extends in the direction of the seat support (20) and toward a front edge of this seat support. On the seat support (20) an interlock assembly is provided which interacts with the locking area, can be released, and is normally in mesh (locking lever 52), and with which an activating member is associated (activation lever 56).

  • Patent number: 5352019
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat includes a longitudinal guide with a locking mechanism with a release device for locking and unlocking the locking mechanism in an engaged and in an unengaged position to allow movement of the seat. The backrest can be tipped forward and is connected to the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism unlocks when the backrest is tipped forward and for allowing manual movement of the motor vehicle seat in a longitudinal direction. A memory device serves to find the previously engaged position of the locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5338119
Abstract: A longitudinal guide for a seat sliding device for vehicle seats includes two elongated tracks that slide relative to each other. A guide is arranged between the tracks, there being at least two guides when viewed from the profile of the longitudinal guide, of which at least one is constructed using roller bodies. One track embraces the other track. The tracks are interconnected so that they will not separate. The tracks are positioned in an adjoined, preloaded manner. The tracks are manufactured of steel sheet containing at least 0.35% carbon content and are heat treated after they are complete.

  • Patent number: 4790597
Abstract: A seatbelt lock is mounted to be movable as little as possible relative to the seat surface when the seat surface is adjusted in height or inclination. The seat has a longitudinal guide 20, 22, a device 24 for adjustment of height or inclination and a belt lock attachment 32. The lower end of the belt lock attachment 32 is affixed to the seat rail 22 of the longitudinal guide and carries a belt lock 34 at its upper end. The belt lock attachment has a lower part 38 linked to the seat rail and an upper part 40 linked to the seat carrier 26, the upper part being connected with the belt lock. One of these parts 38, 40 can move freely in a longitudinal guide formed by the other part. One part has at least one locking projection 60; and the other part has locking devices 46 interacting with the projection. By means of a safety piece 50, the two parts are held in a normal position permitting movement.
