The system uses a telecommunications provider which has a controller for distributing and controlling electronic communications between a database, a translation server, a third-party provider of content and public identification information (PII), and at least one television of a user. The at least one television has a set-top box (STB) and a remote control. The STB has a unique electronic identifier (STB-ID). The STB communicates with the controller and the at least one television utilizing the STB-ID to ensure secure communications between the user, the telecommunications provider and the third-party.

    Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for delivering messages to a television set includes the use of a health-related digital content messaging and compliance system (HDCMC) to facilitate communication between a medical provider, a digital television station and eventually the television set of an end user. The medical provider can place requests to the HDCMC to deliver requested health-related content to the television of the end user. The HDCMC transmits the requested health-related content to the digital television station, which in turn transmits the requested health-related content received from the HDCMC to the television of the end user using verification codes to ensure that the requested content is delivered to the intended television and/or viewer.
