The skid housing hydrogen fuel cell modules, battery sub packs, cooling means and cooling management, and integrated power electronics, to provide an electrical drive train of the truck with a constant high voltage DC power supply. An integrated system using renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gases using one or more trucks, in which an integrated system includes: means for providing renewable energy; means for using the renewable energy to synthesise hydrogen; means for storing the synthesised hydrogen. The integrated system includes hybrid hydrogen power modules fitted to each truck including hydrogen fuel cell modules and battery sub packs so that the battery sub packs and the battery sub packs are recharged by the hydrogen fuel cells.

The fuel cell electrical power system is capable of functioning in a condition in which the second fuel cell module and the second pump are not operating to cause substantially all of the flow rate of coolant fluid produced by the first pump to circulate through the common coolant piping and to circulate substantially none of the flow rate of the coolant fluid produced by the first pump through the second fuel cell module.

    Abstract: An apparatus for mobile hydrogen refueling includes a heavy equipment vehicle having a size exceeding highway size constraints and a platform coupled to the vehicle. A hydrogen storage module and a compression module are removably coupleable to the platform. The storage module is configured to store a number of hydrogen tanks. The compression module is configured to compress a flow of hydrogen from a hydrogen tank in the storage module via a manifold to produce a flow of high-pressure hydrogen. A refueling interface is configured to engage a refueling interface of a hydrogen powerplant and to selectively convey a flow of high-pressure hydrogen from the compression module. In some implementations, the compression module can include a chiller configured to cool the high-pressure hydrogen provided to the refueling interface. In some implementations, a power module is configured to provide electric power to at least the compression module and/or the vehicle.
