Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system, method, and computer-readable medium for providing audio announcement of communications to a called party in a communication network. The method includes receiving communication from a calling party and performing a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database via an Internet Protocol connection based on an identifier of at least one of the calling party and the called party. The information comprises one or more audio files. The method then provides the audio announcement to a called party based on the audio files.

Abstract: One example method of operation may include receiving one or more data messages, identifying calls and corresponding call data from the one or more messages, identifying call parameters from the call data, applying a call activity filter criteria to the call parameters to identify a suspect sub-set of the call parameters which indicate an elevated likelihood of call scam, forwarding the call parameters and the suspect sub-set of call parameters to one or more call data tables, and assigning one or more scam designation threshold scores to the suspect sub-set of the call parameters in the one or more call data tables.

Abstract: One example method of operation may include extracting a calling device telephone number from a received call message, querying a verification table for the calling device telephone number, identifying the calling device telephone number and a corresponding service provider network identifier from the verification table, querying a mapping table for the service provider network identifier, and identifying whether a match between the service provider network identifier and a service provider code exists as an entry in the mapping table.

Abstract: One example method of operation may include identifying a call to a mobile device, determining whether the call includes call content data intended for the mobile device, initiating an active session and a time to live (TTL) associated with the call content data, forwarding the call content data to the mobile device when the call includes call content data associated with the caller, and receiving a content confirmation from the mobile device that the call content data was received.

Abstract: One example method of operation may include identifying call data associated with a received call, identifying call parameters from the call data, and the call parameters include one or more call routing parameters associated with call routing of the call and one or more call session parameters associated with a call session of the call, assigning weights to one or more of the call routing parameters and the call session parameters, determining a scam score for the call based on a sum of the weights applied to the call routing parameters and the call session parameters, and blocking the call when the scam score is greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold scam score.

The method includes receiving a message from a calling party to a receiving party and performing a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database, wherein the lookup is based on an identifier associated with the message, Thereafter, an alert is sent to the alert party if the calling party information is unavailable in a contact list of the receiving party.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to methods for a called party to report unwanted telephone calls to jurisdictional authorities. These calls may be unwanted, unlawful, or other calls. In the methods of the present invention, the called party dials a code comprised of a series of digits, which triggers the switching node associated with the called party to generate a series of messages, at least one of which encompasses the originating telephone number of the unwanted call. At least one of the messages is directed to the proper reporting authority such that the called party reports the unwanted event. Called parties can take further actions, such as including additional messaging or blocking subsequent calls from the calling party number. The reporting authority can take further action as well, such as matching the called party number with subscriber or geographic information.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method comprises receiving call information to record a complaint from a called party against a calling party relating to receipt of a call and adding the call information to a complaint database. The call information may be retrieved from the complaint database and a check made for a match between called party information in a regulatory database and the call information. The call information may be updated in the complaint database based on results of the match checking. Reverse lookup information in a third party database may be requested with the call information updated in the complaint database based on results of the request. An entity may request complaint information from the complaint database. In response to the request, an application server may retrieve the requested complaint information from the complaint database and deliver the retrieved complaint information to the entity.

Abstract: In an embodiment, call information is received indicating that a called party, responsive to receiving a call from a calling party, desires to record a complaint against the calling party relating to receipt of the call. A call complaint based on the call information is added to a complaint database. Call rejection information based on the call information is forwarded to a call rejection database configured to indicate blocking of further calls from the calling party to the called party. The complaint information may be forwarded to the complaint database through a number of different communications paths. In another embodiment, a request for a change in status of an identifier entry on a user call rejection list is received. The status of the identifier entry on the user call rejection list is changed based on a comparison of the current status of the identifier entry with the request.
