  • Patent number: 5586851
Abstract: A prestress-monitoring element for screw-type anchors is arranged to be inserted like a washer between a nut and an article to be fixed and includes a pressure ring and an expansion ring. If the nut provided for fixing is tightened, then the resultant axial prestress causes the pressure ring to expand the expansion ring until the nut lies against the expansion ring. In this end position, a prestress required by the construction of the prestress-monitoring element is achieved. The position of the nut on the pressure ring can be monitored visually, as a result of which the prestress can be indirectly monitored.

  • Patent number: 5569091
Abstract: The expansible metal anchor (1) for anchoring in a hole drilled in a component includes a shank part (2) and an expander cone (4) having a polygonal cross-section defining several faces (13) at its front end. On each face (13) of the expander cone (4) an expansible segment (5) is arranged spaced from that face by a gap (7) corresponding approximately to the distance (8) by which the expansible segments (5) project radially from the shank part (2). Each expansible segment (5) is joined to the shank part (2) at its end face directed towards the shank part (2) by web members (6, 6') constituting predetermined break points. As the expansible anchor is driven into the hole drilled in the component, the web members (6,6') break off, so that the expansible segments (5) are displaceable on the faces (13) of the expander cone.

  • Patent number: 5562376
Abstract: A nail-like fixing element has a shank having a rear end and a front end, and a retaining element provided at the rear end of the shank for clamping an article to a component. The shank has at least one expansion zone extending from the front end in a longitudinal direction of a part of a length of the shank and being formed by a free space. An expansion element is inserted in the free space. The space is formed as a U-shaped longitudinal slot with a base which slopes up toward the front end. The expansion element is formed as a wedge which is located in the longitudinal slot on the base so as to be displaceable towards the front end. The wedge has an outer face provided with teeth which project beyond the shank.

  • Patent number: 5551805
Abstract: The anchoring cartridge for anchoring a fastening element in a drilled hole has two chambers. One chamber contains from 1.0 to 10% of a hardener component dissolved in a mixture of styrene and an unaccelerated radical-curing resin and the other chamber contains an accelerator mixed with another mixture of styrene and unaccelerated radical-curing resin. By including unaccererated radical-curing resin in both chambers a homogeneous curing of the components is ensured.

  • Patent number: 5546725
Abstract: The composite anchoring device consists of an anchoring rod (7) and a cartridge (3) capable of being crushed by the anchoring rod (7). The inner container (5) extends over the length (1) of the cartridge (3) and advantageously includes a central section (8), end sections (10) at each end of the inner container and conical sections (9) connecting each end section (10) with the central section (8). The inner container sections are crushable in succession as the anchoring rod is driven in. The individual container sections (10,9,8) have different volumes and are designed with first breakpoints (11) and second breakpoints (9') of graded resistance so that they are crushed in succession from the ends of the inner container towards the middle starting with the first breakpoints (11) in the end sections (10), and release water held in the respective inner container sections to the surrounding hardenable bonding agent to provide a stronger fixing.

  • Patent number: 5482671
Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing interlocking parts, in which at least one part is manufactured by powder injection molding. To compensate for the amount of contraction of one of the parts manufactured by powder injection molding and, if desired, to produce an additional clearance, a separation layer of plastic material is applied between the interlocking parts. After the injection process to form the separation layer, the separation layer and the binder are removed by a binder-removing and sintering process step. The method is also applicable to powdered metal extrusion for manufacture of double-layered metal parts.

  • Patent number: 5478144
Abstract: The cassette holder for magnetic tape cassettes includes locking devices (14,15) for locking the reel hubs of a magnetic tape cassette mounted on a transversely displaceable sliding element (3). Control wedges (9,10) are formed on both sides of the sliding element (3) which, as a magnetic tape cassette is inserted, come into contact with an enlargement (24,25) formed on the flat faces of the magnetic tape cassette (23) so as to displace the sliding element (3) laterally. The sliding element (3) with its locking devices (14) is thus aligned exactly with the position of the reel hubs (26) for engagement of the locking devices (14,15) with the reel hubs (26).
