Abstract: A carrier for a plurality of containers includes an upper web having a plurality of upper web apertures, each for receiving a chime and a neck of one of the containers therethrough. Each upper web aperture has a plurality of tabs formed at an inside edge thereof. Each tab is configured for bending upward when contacting the chime of one of the containers. A lower web has a plurality of lower web apertures, each for receiving a body of one of the containers therethrough. A side web connects the upper web with the lower web, and may be formed together with the upper web and the lower web as a single piece, or into two separate portions that may be adhered or otherwise fastened together.

Abstract: A system for packaging two or more containers with a paperboard carrier having two or more apertures. Each aperture has a plurality of tabs formed at an inside edge thereof that bend upward when contacting a lower edge of a chime of one of the containers. The system includes a platen having apertures for pressing the carrier down uniformly onto the containers and carrier supports configured for maintaining the carrier in a flat configuration as the platen presses the carrier onto the containers substantially simultaneously. Some embodiments of the system include a manual applicator, while other embodiments include a semi-automatic apparatus that utilize linear actuators to facilitate loading the carriers and applying the carriers to a group of containers. Methods of use are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method and device are for making lateral openings out of a wellbore in a ground formation where at least one laterally directed drill string is movable in the axial direction inside a motherbore tubular, and where the leading end portion of the drill string is equipped with the drill bit that is driven by a rotatable drill string. The method includes connecting a fluid driven engine to the rotatable drill string inside the motherbore tubular, and directing flow in the motherbore tubular through the fluid driven engine to create rotation of the drill bit via the drill string.

Abstract: A method and device for deploying a cable and an apparatus in a ground formation having a motherbore, wherein the method comprises positioning a non-rotating drill pipe, a cable and an apparatus in a motherbore tubular; and drilling a lateral opening relatively the motherbore by displacing the drill pipe into the formation with the cable and apparatus attached.

Abstract: A method and device for producing an opening from a motherbore into the surrounding formation, wherein the method includes: positioning a motor, having a rotatable barrel, in the motherbore; passing an elongated body through the barrel; and letting the motor rotate the elongated body as the elongated body is moved along the barrel and into the formation.

Abstract: A method is for making a relatively long and narrow penetration in the ground where a jetting head that has a longitudinal axis is attached to a leading end of a tubular. The method comprises providing the jetting head with at least one fixed nozzle that is positioned at the leading end portion of the jetting head and where the fixed nozzle has an elongated cross section; and flowing liquid through the nozzle where a resulting liquid fan is directed towards the ground in front of the jetting head.
