Abstract: Extensible nonwoven fabrics having improved elongation, extensibility, abrasion resistance and toughness. In particular, embodiments of the invention are directed to extensible spunbond fabrics comprising a polymeric blend of a metallocene catalyzed polypropylene, polyethylene, and a third polymer component.

Abstract: Absorbent sheet materials are produced from a coformed blend of absorbent fibers and extensible meltblown polymer fibers. Laminates of these extensible coforms are prepared with layers of extensible polymeric fibers or filaments. The absorbent sheet materials are incrementally stretched to improve softness and drape.
Abstract: A nonwoven fabric comprising a meltspun fibre of a lignin compound. Also claimed a laminated fabric comprising the nonwoven fabric, a nonwoven fabric product comprising the nonwoven fabric, a structured multicomponent fibre comprising a lignin compound, a web comprising a meltspun fibre of a lignin compound and a method of producing a nonwoven fabric by forming a web of meltspun fibre comprising a lignin compound and bonding at least a portion of the fibre in the web to form the nonwoven fabric.
