Publication number: 20240149098Abstract: A running device and method of using the device are disclosed. The device may include a moveable material within an inner chamber of the running device's housing. In operation, a running device may be held in each hand and the runner may thrust both hands downward prior to landing and quickly bring the devices to a vertical stop after landing. Bringing the devices to a vertical stop may cause the moveable material to collide with the housing and increase the force exerted by the runner on the ground. A delay component may delay the peak force exerted by the material against the housing so that the translation of that force to the ground coincides with the peak force that the runner would have exerted against the ground in the absence of the devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Applicant: BOSU Fitness, LLCInventor: David S. Weck

Publication number: 20240100382Abstract: Disclosed herein is an exercise machine that includes an elongated frame. The exercise machine includes a moveable carriage slidably coupled to the elongated frame. The exercise machine includes a spring support rod slidably coupled with the elongated frame and selectively positionable by a handle. The exercise machine includes at least one resistive member coupled at a first end with the spring support rod and at a second end with the moveable carriage. The resistive member is configured to bias the moveable carriage relative to the elongated frame. The exercise machine includes a first spring positioning rod slidably coupled to and moveable within a first rail on the elongated frame and a second spring positioning rod slidably coupled to and moveable within a second rail on an opposing side of the elongated frame. The spring support rod is extends between the first and second spring positioning rods.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: Core Health & Fitness, LLCInventors: Ken Duong, Kevin Corbalis

Patent number: 11931622Abstract: An indoor, stationary, bicycle training device that provides advantages over conventional designs of exercise bicycles is provided. The stationary bicycle may include a tilting/pivoting mechanism to orient the indoor bicycle to simulate descending or climbing. The indoor bicycle may include flexible and resilient frame elements to support the indoor training device to move side-to-side under some riding situations thereby simulating the side-to-side swaying motion of an outdoor bicycle under the same riding situations. The indoor bicycle may include several combinations of frame adjustments to provide configurable dimensions of the indoor bicycle to adjust the frame to properly fit the rider, which may be adjusted based on corresponding dimensions of a user's outdoor bicycle. Still other aspects of the stationary bicycle device may aid in creating an “outdoor” feeling while using the device.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2020Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Wahoo Fitness LLCInventors: Harold M. Hawkins, III, Michael Carlson

Publication number: 20240075374Abstract: A method for controlling a fitness machine having a light. The method includes receiving a preset time for a user to perform an exercise using the fitness machine, receiving a request to start the exercise, and controlling the light in a first operating mode. The method further includes counting an elapsed time since the exercise was started, determining a remaining time as a difference between the elapsed time and the preset time, and comparing the remaining time to a threshold time. The method further includes changing the light to a second operating mode different than the first operating mode when the remaining time is less than the threshold time to thereby indicate that the exercise will be ending.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Applicant: Life Fitness, LLCInventors: Matt Brennand, Tracy Barrett, Kyle Spoo, Ray Reitz

Publication number: 20240066351Abstract: An adjustable bench includes a bench frame, a seat support pivotably coupled to the bench frame at a pivot, and an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism includes an adjustment frame coupled to the seat support and defining a plurality of openings. A seat plate of the mechanism is coupled to a seat cushion. An adjustment pin is coupled to the seat plate and selectively engageable with the plurality of openings. A bearing is coupled to the seat plate and is slidably engaged with a rail coupled to the adjustment frame.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 22, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: Rep Fitness, LLCInventors: Sean Matthew Andreassen, Samuel M. Publication number: 20240066350Abstract: An adjustable bench includes a frame and a hinge. A back support is pivotably coupled to the hinge and has a back cushion. A seat support has a first end defining apertures, a second end pivotably coupled to the hinge, and a seat cushion. A leg support is pivotably coupled to the first end at a pivot point defining a rotation axis for the leg support. The leg support is selectively engageable with one of the apertures via a pin. In a first configuration, the pin also engages with the leg support to define a fixed angular position of the leg support relative to the seat support. In a second configuration, the pin is engaged with one of the apertures without capturing the leg support such that the pin defines a rotational stop for the leg support and the leg support is movable at least partially around the rotational axis.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 14, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: Rep Fitness, LLCInventors: John Hibberts, Samuel M.
