The beverage apparatus comprises a display unit to display data to a user. A method for monitoring consumption of a user using a smart beverage apparatus is also disclosed, the method comprising: receiving an indication that a supplement vessel has been inserted into the smart beverage apparatus scanning a vessel data storage unit to obtain supplement data related to supplements stored within the supplement vessel, analyzing the obtained supplement data, generating instructions for the user based on the analysis, and displaying the generated instructions to the user.
