Abstract: A hair claw clip includes a first jaw and a second jaw that is pivotally connected to the first jaw at a hinge. The first and second jaw each has a indicia portion monolithically formed as an integral part of the respective first and second jaw. The indicia portion has at least one opening through the respective first and second jaw that forms part of a character that can be read from a side of the respective first and second jaw. Each first and second jaw further includes a jaw body forming a lower part of the indicia portion and a handle portion that extends outward from the jaw body at an angle to the jaw body. The handle portion forms an upper part of the indicia portion. The hinge is located between the handle portions of the first and second jaws. The first and second jaws and the indicia portion share an outermost first terminal edge and an outermost second terminal edge opposite from the first terminal edge.
