Abstract: A wirelessly powered tattoo machine is disclosed, which has a substantially radially symmetric exterior shape for optimal manipulability by a user, and integrated controls for on-device configuration and operation. The power supply component of the machine may be removed, and multiple battery packs may be utilized with a single machine for continuous use. The machine may also be powered by wire and simultaneously operate the machine while charging a connected battery pack. The machine may further include wireless communication with one or more separate devices to operate the machine or control the machine's settings, such as a foot pedal or mobile phone.

Abstract: A magnetically driven tattoo machine is disclosed, which has a substantially radially symmetric exterior shape and be driven by a sensor-controlled electromagnetic coil. The machine has no oscillating mechanical components, and thus reduces or eliminates vibration. The machine may include a housing mechanically isolated from a needle cartridge or subcomponents that can be disassembled and sterilized. The electromagnet may be controlled by a sensor integral with the coil, housed within the machine, or within an external power supply. The machine may be powered by internal battery or by an external power source. The machine may also be controlled wirelessly.

Abstract: An independently operable offset wireless tattoo machine battery pack is disclosed. The battery pack is offset relative to a tattoo machine power interface such that the center of gravity of the battery pack is longitudinally closer to the center of gravity of the tattoo machine than is the power interface. The offset wireless tattoo machine battery pack may include electronic circuitry that controls and operates a tattoo machine independent of any separate control unit, providing a unified wireless standalone tattoo machine.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a tattoo machine grip apparatus. The apparatus comprises a grip adjuster, a cartridge receiver, a ratchet disc, and a combined grip guide and backstem. The components are arranged so that the grip adjuster houses the cartridge receiver and allows for the needle depth adjustment while the grip guide ensures that the needle cartridge remains upright and houses the ratchet disc which provides adjustment feedback and prevents unwanted turning and accidental adjustment of the grip. In use, the backstem portion of a tattoo machine grip is inserted into the receiving portion of a tattoo machine. The tattoo machine is tightened down onto the backstem of the tattoo machine grip and holds it in place.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a tattoo machine floating collet apparatus and system comprising a vise receiver, a vise knob, and a vise collet that are configured to receive a tattoo machine grip backstem. These components are configured as follows: vise collet is mechanically captured between the vise receiver and the vise knob such that as the vise knob is tightened onto the vise receiver the collet tightens around an inserted tattoo machine grip backstem. The invention can be used to provide a quick, easy, and sanitary apparatus for tattoo artists to use multiple grips and needle cartridges with the same tattoo machine.
