    Abstract: A high efficiency spark plug includes a ground electrode having formed of a wire having a circular cross section. The ground electrode has a pair of stanchions and a loop extending over the center electrode of the spark plug. The loop has a center circular portion and a pair of curved portions which form a gap between the two sides of the loop generally equal to the diameter of the wire.
