Abstract: A computer receives card transaction data in response to a transaction using a financial services card. The card transaction data identifies at least a location, date, and time associated with the transaction. Upon receiving the card transaction data, the computer compares the card transaction data with telematics information associated with a vehicle equipped with a telematics device. The telematics information identifies at least a location of the vehicle, and a time and date associated with the location of the vehicle. On the basis of the comparison, the computer determines if the location of the transaction substantially matches the location of the vehicle at the time and date of transaction. Responsive to determining a substantial match, the computer associates the financial services card with the vehicle.
Abstract: Determining a fuel card usage exception with the use of a computer that receives fuel card transaction data responsive to a fuel purchase event. The fuel card transaction data identifies a quantity of fuel purchased for a vehicle using a fuel card. In addition, the computer receives first fuel level data and second fuel level data of the vehicle that identifies a quantity of fuel present in a fuel tank of the vehicle prior to a fuel purchase event and after a fuel purchase event respectively. The computer can determine an exception associated with the fuel purchase event based on the fuel card transaction data, the first fuel level data, and the second fuel level data. Responsive to detecting an exception associated with the fuel purchase event, the computer may generate an alert and transmit the alert for presentation by a computing device of a user.

Abstract: A method of operation of a navigation system having mileage mechanism includes providing a subtotal mileage for a previous location reading along a route; calculating an incremental mileage at a current location reading from the previous location reading; and calculating a total mileage based on the subtotal mileage and the incremental mileage for displaying on a device.

Abstract: A method of operation of a navigation system includes: executing a distance bounded function for displaying on a device; setting a reference location; receiving a user location for monitoring a location of the device; measuring a distance traveled with the user location from the reference location only when the distance bounded function is executing; and deactivating the distance bounded function when the distance traveled equals or exceeds a distance limit.
