  • Patent number: 11958956
Abstract: Additive-polymer precursor materials for filaments (e.g., for three-dimensional (3D) printing) are provided, as well as methods of fabricating and using the same. One or more two-dimensional (2D) additive materials (e.g., nano materials, such as nanosheets) can be mixed with a polymer base to give an additive-polymer precursor composite material. The additive material can be dissolved in a first solvent to give an additive solution, and the polymer can be dissolved in a second solvent to give a polymer base. The additive solution can be mixed with the polymer base to give a mixed solution. Solvent casting can then be performed on the mixed solution to evaporate the solvent(s) and give the additive-polymer precursor composite material, which can have a layered structure.

  • Patent number: 11936206
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for combined inductive power transfer (IPT) and capacitive power transfer (CPT) to reduce power pulsation in dynamic charging of electric vehicles. Aluminum plates provided between transmitter coils inhibit output power drop, the power pulsation can be reduced, and a constant power profile is provided by operation of CPT system when the receiver is between the IPT coils. As the aluminum plates cover the space between coils, the IPT coils can be separated away from each other by a longer distance compared to conventional segmented coils; therefore, a lesser copper can be used which enhances the cost effectiveness of the provided system. As the respective IPT and CPT system are used alternatively, thus the system's output power can be constant, nearly constant, or effectively constant.

  • Patent number: 11897827
Abstract: The subject invention provides catalytical compounds/complexes, compositions comprising such compound/complex, synthesis of the compounds/complexes, and methods of using such compounds/complexes as catalysts in, for example, carbon isotope exchange (CIE) on target bioactive molecules. Methods that allow CIE directly on drug candidates are of great importance to chemistry, biology, and medicine. Especially valuable are catalytic procedures that rely on a limited collection of available labeled materials. The instant method comprises converting a methyl group to terminal ?CH2 utilizing transfer dehydrogenation catalysts to enable V-based olefin metathesis, followed by a hydrogenation step. The one-pot strategy allows the formal methylation/demethylation sequence and can be applied to an assortment of alkyl-containing compounds.
