    Abstract: The invention relates to a novel oil-in-water type cream containing aluminum potassium sulfate, which is useful for the treatment of varicosity. The composition of the invention contains 1 to 15% by weight of pharmaceutically acceptable lipid-type ointment base, 0 to 10% by weight of aluminum potassium sulfate dissolved in water, 10 to 80% by weight of propylene glycol and 0.1 to 5.0% by weight of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and/or cetyltrimethylammonium chloride as emulsifying agent.
