Patents Assigned to FlowCon International A/S
  • Publication number: 20130261813
Abstract: The invention relates to a valve system, in particular for controlling the liquid flow in a plant for central heating. The system may comprise one or more valve housings with at least two associated distinct inserts having different flow characteristics. The inserts comprise two types of means with regulable openings that serve as inlet and outlet, respectively, said means being provided with means for regulating the liquid flow, the differential pressure over the openings of that first means being changeable, whereby the area of the openings of the other means is changed to the effect that the differential pressure is regulated. The inserts are furthermore provided with means for the applied change in area by means of an activator that comprises an end which is exposed to the surroundings. A programmable regulator unit provided with motor can be coupled to the end of an activator on the insert.

  • Patent number: 7343928
Abstract: A regulator insert for valves includes inflow openings and a plurality of slot-shaped outflow openings extending in the axial direction of the insert and being, via a roller membrane, closable in response to the difference in pressure across the insert under the influence of a spring that seeks to keep the outflow openings open. The slot-shaped outflow openings have at least two different lengths, whereby complete closure of at least some of the outflow openings can take place only consecutively. At least one of the slot shaped outflow openings has such length that complete closure thereof by means of the roller membrane is not possible.

  • Patent number: 7066200
Abstract: An insert for being mounted in a valve housing (80) or a tubular member for dynamic flow control of a flowing medium. The insert comprises:—a first cup-shaped part (1) provided with an outflow area;—a second cup-shaped part (10) arranged axially displaceably within the first cup-shaped part (1) and provided with an inflow area;—a pressure spring (30) arranged for exerting a force (F) that seeks to force the two cup-shaped parts (1, 10) away from each other. The second cup-shaped part (10) is configured such in relation to the first cup-shaped part (1) that the inflow area of the first cup-shaped part (1) is closed in response to a displacement of the second cup-shaped part (10) in relation to the first cup-shaped part (1).

  • Patent number: 6527195
Abstract: A regulating insert for mounting in valves includes a dynamically flow regulating body, with the body having a first housing that is disposed within a second housing. A coil spring is arranged about an axis thereof, and a first end of the coil spring engages a slidable bottom cup provided with at least one inlet opening for liquid in its wall. The opening has an adjustable flow area. The second end of the coil spring opposite the first end engages a partly closed end of the second housing. The partly closed end has a cylindrical opening that provides a seat for a valve cone situated within the second housing. The position of the valve cone is regulated by first means via an activation means.

  • Patent number: 6058955
Abstract: The invention relates to a differential pressure valve for the control of a plant with a heat carrying medium. The differential pressure valve has a membrane controlled by a differential pressure for the regulation of the flow of the heat carrying medium between an inlet and an outlet, an adjustable closing member between the inlet and the membrane, one or more fixed openings, the areas of which can be changed linearly by the closing member, one or more variable openings, the areas of which are changed by the membrane, and electrically activated members for closing one of the variable openings or fixed openings by force or by time control independently of the flow in the valve. The invention is configured as parts to be inserted in a known differential pressure valve without dismounting it in such a plant.
