  • Patent number: 11960500
Abstract: The present invention may be embodied in a natural language processing system that conducts user interaction to identify and refine requests for data analyses, and automatically conducts data mining and prepares data visualizations in response to natural language queries. Similarly natural language processing system can be utilized for updating business system data in response to natural language requests. The system greatly improves the ease of use, intuitiveness, variety, and responsiveness of the data analytics system by converting natural language requests into requests for data analyses. This allows a much wider range of users to conduct commercially relevant data analytics without relying on specialists in the field data analytics specialists and at much lower cost than the conventional approach.

  • Patent number: 11741080
Abstract: A data analysis system uses metadata stored in association with database records to render mirror the data collection user interfaces utilized by the data collection systems to create the data records in the database. To enable this data analysis system functionality, the data collection system stores metadata defining the data collection user interface used to create a particular data record in association with that particular data record in the database. The data analysis system can then access the metadata to render a mirror of the data collection user interface on the fly, so that an operator of the data analysis system can create a new database record or edit a preexisting data record using the same user interface that was utilized to originally create the data record. The metadata typically defines the visual aspects, data parameters, and functional aspects of the data collection user interface.

  • Patent number: 11436003
Abstract: Internet-of-Things (“IoT”) controllers built using hardened industrial technologies which improve functionality and reliability, such as a fixed-loop model in which a loop is repeated with configured time periodicity where sensors are queried, sensor responses are read, configured calculations are performed, and logic rules are evaluated resulting in decisions made and outputs activated. A variety of redundancy techniques are utilized to provide continuous non-stop operation of IoT controllers to compensate for possible hardware and software failures. Robust IoT controller redundancy also allows periodic maintenance, software updates and security patch installation without shutting down the IoT controllers.

  • Patent number: 10600216
Abstract: A data visualization system that automatically optimizes tick mark alignment to improve readability and conceptual accessibility of multiple graphs presented in a common display area. The data visualization system optimizes the tick mark alignment by normalizing the orders of magnitudes of the data sets and minimizing an objective function that balances tick resolution versus unused chart space on the common axis. The data visualization system may optionally color code the graphs and data ranges represented on the common axis to improve readability. Automatic scaling and tick mark alignment of the data sets is based on the display dimensions, which allows the graphs to be quickly re-optimized and redrawn on the fly. For example, the graphs may be automatically re-optimized and redrawn in response to display screen rotation, display area resizing, and display on different devices in a manner that appears to be effectively instantaneous to the typical user.

  • Publication number: 20180101512
Abstract: An inventory management or equipment inspection system that allows an audio or audio-video session to be recorded and converted to text, where the text is entered into semi-structured fields of a data form, while the audio track is being recorded. In other words, the system records an audio or audio-video session providing for concurrent collection of unstructured data stream, such as the audio track, and structured or semi-structured data, such as completion of text fields in the form. The system provides the ability to record the session, automatically convert the recorded voice to text, enter the text into data fields, and edit the text in the fields, while the audio or audio-video session is ongoing.

  • Patent number: 7483977
Abstract: A proactive browser system configured to implement stateful frame navigation using content specific icons, background frame maintenance, and asynchronous frame submissions. The proactive browser system includes three components: user-side proactive application terminals (PAT), network-resident proactivity enablement servers (PES), and server-side proactive wireless web-based application servers. The PAT resides on user terminals and functions as an enhanced browser that accommodates proactive application services. The PES resides in the wireless network between the proactive application servers and the user terminals, and implements proactivity support services including queuing of proactive application submissions, presence detection of proactive application terminals, and routing of proactive application submissions from proactive application servers to the proactive application terminals.
