    Abstract: An educational force application and force measurement apparatus is with a plurality of interchangeable workpiece mounting components is disclosed. The apparatus securely accepts a model structure (workpiece), secures a force measurement component between the model structure and a force application component, and applies an incrementally increasing force until the workpiece fails. A series of interchangeable upper workpiece mounting components allow the apparatus to measure the failure load on several different types of model structures.
