Publication number: 20140176497Abstract: A method of avoiding the mutual interference of touch detection with LCD scan, based on the LCD touch screen set with capacitive touch sensor. As to the said method, first of all, divide the entire LCD touch screen into at least two regions; then, set the touch detection timing sequence and LCD scan timing sequence for the LCD touch screen, enabling the touch detection process and LCD scan process to meet the condition of only conducting one process of touch detection process and LCD scan process within the same time period and same region, thus, enabling both of the touch detection process and LCD scan process to keep mutual independent running status either in time domain or in spatial domain. The invention has separated the touch detection process and LCD scan process from time domain and spatial domain, avoiding mutual interaction and mutual interference of the two processes.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2013Publication date: June 26, 2014Applicant: FocalTech Systems, Ltd.Inventors: Michael Mo, Xinxi Jiang, Junqiao Liu

Patent number: 8599168Abstract: A touch detection method for capacitive touch panels includes the steps of scanning the rows and columns of the capacitive matrix of a touch panel respectively; obtaining the capacitance differential value; processing the obtained capacitance differential value; and determining whether there is a touch on the touch panel in response to the processed capacitance differential value. The capacitance differential value is obtained by one of the steps of synchronously scanning two rows at the same time; synchronously scanning two columns at the same time; scanning one row to obtain the capacitance differential value between the row and a reference capacitance; and scanning one column to obtain the capacitance differential value between the column and a reference capacitance. The present invention creates conditions for the elimination of common code interferences and greatly improves the interference resistance of a capacitive touch panel.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2011Date of Patent: December 3, 2013Assignee: Focaltech Systems Ltd.Inventors: Lianghua Mo, Yan Guo

Patent number: 8493131Abstract: The invention discloses a capacitive touch panel detection circuit and a boost circuit thereof, wherein the boost circuit comprises a plurality of charge pumps in series, a sequence circuit and a voltage-stabilizing circuit. The charge pump comprises a first switch, a second switch, a third switch, a fourth switch, a first capacitor and a second capacitor. The switches are controlled by the sequence circuit. During the first half of the working cycle of the charge pump, the first capacitor is charged. During the second half of the working cycle of the charge pump, the second capacitor is charged so that the voltage is two times of the power voltage, after the first capacitor is connected with the power supply in sequence. The boost circuit of the invention does not need an induction and a Schottky diode. All of the capacitors except a voltage-stabilizing capacitor can be integrated into a chip. Therefore, the number of off-chip ancillary components can be reduced.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2011Date of Patent: July 23, 2013Assignee: Focaltech Systems Ltd.Inventors: Lianghua Mo, Wenping Liu
