Abstract: For the dispatch-ready packing of, in particular, cigarette packs or cigarette bundle packs (12), a device is provided, in which the box packer (14) and the palleting station (29) are combined, in order to introduce the bundle packs (12) into boxes (10) and to deposit the latter on pallets (11). The structurally combined units form an overall device which can be operated jointly.

Abstract: During the production of (cigarette) packs by packers (13), the pack, depending on its configuration, has printing carriers, namely coupons which may be folded a number of times, added to it. These are produced by a coupon-production device (16) in a coupon arrangement (15) and are introduced into containers, namely magazines (20), in a filling station (18). A number of these magazines, in turn, which corresponds to requirements is kept on vehicles, namely transporting carts (42, 43), in order to be fed to the packer (13). The relevant machines and subassemblies are connected to a central control unit (91) which defines the quantity of coupons which are to be produced and causes the magazines (20) and/or the transporting carts (42, 43) to be coded, with the result that the supply of the packers (13) with coupons is controlled in accordance with the batch of packs which is to be produced.

Abstract: A cuboidal cigarette pack of the hinge-lid-box type (10) is enclosed by an outer wrapper made of film. The latter has a tear-open thread (24) which extends obliquely or diagonally in the region of a front wall (14) and rear wall (15) and merges into side walls (16, 17) via arcuate regions. This allows optimum opening and removal of the outer wrapper with the aid of the tear-open thread (24).

Abstract: A distributor or hopper is part of a cigarette production machine and serves for dressing the tobacco in the provision of a continuous tobacco strand. An integral part of a distributor is a metering system which prepares the tobacco for the production of the tobacco strand. To separate out undesirable constituents, such as foreign bodies, stalks or ribs, from the tobacco, at least one sifter (15) is provided. The latter precedes the metering system of the distributor in the working direction, in particular is arranged outside the distributor, so that sifted tobacco is introduced into the distributor.

Abstract: A cigarette pack of the hinge-lid-box type comprises an outer pack (13) and an inner pack which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction within the outer pack (13). A hinge lid (36) is fitted on one side of the outer pack (13). This hinge lid is moved into an open position by displacement of the inner pack (12) relative to the outer pack (13), to be precise by an opening force being transmitted by means of a pushing-action tab (27) arranged within the pack.

Abstract: For the purpose of wrapping articles, in particular groups (19) of packs, in a blank (10), use is made of a folding turret (21) having a single pocket (23) passing through its diameter. Lateral boundaries of the pocket (23) comprise belts (30, 31) which, upon introduction of a group (19) of packs with blank (10), can be moved in the pushing-in direction and which butt in a friction-free manner against legs (27, 28) of the blank (10), which is folded in a U-shaped manner. A block-form stop component (37) can be moved within the pocket (23) from one end position to the other.

Abstract: A pouch (10) for holding in particular a portion of tobacco substantially comprises front wall (13) and rear wall (14). A filling opening (19) is formed on the upper side between front wall (13) and rear wall (14). Formed underneath the same is a further opening, specifically a removal opening (20) defined by a perforation line (23). Positioned in the region of the same is a closure means which can be used repeatedly, specifically a ziplock.

Abstract: Disclosed is a closing aid for cigarette packs of the hinged lid type, comprising vertical webs (31) of a collar (12) and an inner lid fold (25) located on the interior face of a front wall (19) of the lid. Said inner lid fold (25) is provided with lateral recesses (37) whose relative position is selected such that the threading process of the webs (31) into an interlocked position with the inner lid fold (25) is initiated when a maximum edge pressure is attained on top transversal edges (35) of the collar (12).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing packs (23) from at least two partial packs (25, 26) to form one groups of packs (21, 22) each of especially cuboid (cigarette) packs (20), a one-piece blank (24) being folded along (embossed) fold lines (46, 47) around the groups of packs (21, 22) in such a way that mutually facing inner walls (27) of the partial packs (25, 26) are folded in between the groups of packs (21, 22) in a V shape. According to the invention, the substantially flat blank (24) is conveyed along a blank path (36) and, during the transport, is at least partially upset in such a way that the inner walls (27) are folded in a V shape along fold lines (46) arranged transversely with respect to the transport direction. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for carrying out the method.

An advantageous solution is that of the substances being transferred directly to free ends of the cigarettes (12) once cigarette groups (11) have been formed and during transportation of these groups. As an alternative, the substances can be transferred to the inside of an inner wrapper of the cigarette group in particular to a folding tab of a base wall.

Abstract: In the case of a (soft) pack for cigarettes, the blank (10) made of paper or similar material is provided, adjacent to an end wall (16), with a multi-layered folding strip (21) running all the way round. In order that inner layers can be connected to outer, covering layers via glue—spot of glue (20)—a round cutout (29) made by punching is provided, the spot of glue (20) being positioned in the region of said cutout. A special feature is constituted by the production of blanks (10) for such a pack.
