Abstract: A kit for assembling putters of variable selected designs which includes a plurality of putter heads of varying designs, each putter head being formed with a bore in its upper surface. Also, including a plurality of hosels of varying designs, each hosel having a foot including a projection at a first end and a receptacle at a second end. Each projection being sized to fit into each of the bores in the putter heads. Further including a plurality of shafts of a plurality of lengths and flexes, each of which is sized at one end to fit into the hosel receptacles. The kit provides the components for assembling putters of selected and differing designs by choosing a specific designed putter head from the plurality of putter heads, choosing a specific designed hosel from the plurality of hosels, choosing a shaft of specific length and flexibility from the plurality of shafts and securing them together in the appropriate manner.

Abstract: A putter head formed of a first material having a heel, a toe, a back, a top, a sole and a face forming the designated impact surface with a golf ball. The face comprising a generally planar surface extending from the heel to the toe and from the top to the sole. A plurality of horizontal rows of apertures are formed along substantially horizontal planes through the face into a body area between the face and the back. The apertures are formed to selected and different depths depending upon their location on the face. A filler of selected weight per unit area may be added to selected apertures. A putter head of selected weight, balance and feel is provided.

The rod is secured at one end in a socket located in a top member of the golf bag and secured at the other end in a socket integral with a compression spring located in a cavity of the base of the golf bag. Cuffs are formed by stitching the body material at spaced locations adjacent to the top member and base.

Abstract: An iron type golf club head has a cavity in a back and a continuous recess extending into the top surface, toe and a portion of the sole along the perimeter of the club head. The recess and a back wall of the cavity are spaced from the front striking surface to provide a front striking surface of a general uniform thickness. A vibration damping material is inserted in the recess.
