Patents Assigned to Fogg Filler Company
  • Patent number: 6508046
Abstract: A self-adjusting capping chuck assembly for use in association with a filler and/or capper device comprising: an outer cam having an aperture defined by an inner peripheral geometry; and a cap engaging jaw displaced within the aperture of the outer cam. The cap engaging jaw includes at least two displaceable jaw components, and a member for biasing the displaceable jaw components into a cap engaging configuration.

  • Patent number: 6338370
Abstract: A fill valve assembly for use in association with a filler device. The fill valve assembly generally includes: an outer housing; a product dispensing member; a displaceable piston; and mechanisms for controllably displacing the piston to a clean-in-place position. The product dispensing member is associated with the outer housing and includes a channel having a sealing member retained therein. The displaceable piston is positioned within at least a portion of the outer housing and the product dispensing member. When the piston is in the clean-in-place position, the seal member retained within the channel of the product dispensing member is exposed which facilitates cleaning thereabout.

  • Patent number: 6152195
Abstract: A container filling machine and removable valve assembly having a liquid retention bowl and at least one filler valve assembly depending therefrom, the bowl having at least one bottom opening, a periphery around the opening, and a shoulder at the periphery, the filler valve assembly extending through the opening and including an upwardly protruding vent tube in the bowl, a valve retention clip on the vent tube and having at least one abutment within the bowl aligned with the shoulder to be engageable with the shoulder to prevent unwanted valve removal from the bowl, the retention clip being accessible from outside the bowl and having sufficient resilient flexibility to move the at least one abutment away from the shoulder for release of the filler valve assembly from the bowl.

  • Patent number: 5975159
Abstract: Container filler apparatus having a bowl for receiving liquid and for dispensing the liquid into a multiple of containers, a plurality of liquid-outlet lower openings and collars depending from the bowl, a plurality of liquid-outlet control valve mechanisms cooperatively interfitted within respective ones of the collars, a distortable retainer spring between each valve mechanism and its respective collar for retaining the valve in its collar, and safety clips exterior of said bowl engaged between the valves and their respective collars whereby each said valve mechanism can be removed from the bowl solely at the exterior of the bowl by removing the safety clip and pulling the valve down a sufficient amount to release the retainer spring. The retainer spring is an annular canted coil spring. An annular seal is between each valve mechanism and its respective collar, adjacent to but spaced from the canted coil spring.

  • Patent number: 4567919
Abstract: The invention comprises a turret type container-filling machine in which the containers are advanced to and from filling position by a continuous belt and in which the containers are metered into filling position by a pair of parallel screws shaped to engage and hold the container while the filling spout of the filling machine is being lowered to the container mouth. The containers are exited along a curved portion of the track which is canted toward the center of its curvature at an angle such that gravity neutralizes the centrifugal force engendered by the containers traveling that curvature.

  • Patent number: 4269236
Abstract: The invention disclosed is an integral attachment for a container filling device which comprises a filling head having a tubular closure adapted to be opened when the filling head is inserted into the container to be filled, and an annular member functioning as a container closure member and having a central opening slightly larger than the tubular closure, an upper annular member spaced from the first annular member and integrally connected thereto by a resilient tubular member, the upper annular member having a close fit with the tubular closure in order to hold the attachment in place when it is slid onto the tubular closure, at least one vent aperture extending through the lower annular member with its vent end opening in the upper surface thereof in a position where it is adapted to be closed by the upper annular member when the resilient tubular member is collapsed by pushing the lower annular member upward into contact with the upper annular member, and the annular members having an island of surface-t
