Abstract: An example motor vehicle includes, among other things, a door having an exterior surface, and a handle moveably coupled to the door. The handle is moveable within a plane of movement oblique to the exterior surface. A door handle and a method are also disclosed.
Abstract: Systems and methods for phone-as-a-key range extension are disclosed. An example disclosed vehicle includes an integrated antenna array with a plurality of antenna located on a roof of the vehicle. The plurality of antenna includes a personal area network antenna. The example vehicle also includes a personal area network module communicatively connected to the personal area network antenna. Additionally, the vehicle includes a key phone unit communicatively connected to the personal area network module. The example key phone unit performs key fob functions as requested by an authorized mobile device.
Abstract: A configurable vehicle cluster is described which extends down below a top of the steering column to provide a display of information. The display can display information to the driver through or around the steering wheel and the recess in the vehicle cluster through which the steering wheel column extends. An instrument cluster is positioned adjacent the steering assembly and includes a display having an edge that is non-linear and may at least partly wrap around the steering column to increase the viewing area of the cluster. The display may extend around the steering column behind the steering wheel. The vehicle cluster can be mounted lower in a vehicle while providing adequate viewing area and conserving space in the vehicle cabin.

Abstract: An engine having a cylinder head including an exhaust manifold at least partially integrated therein, the exhaust manifold including an inner separating wall fluidly dividing two merged exhaust lines, each merged exhaust line in fluidic communication with a different pair of adjacent cylinders, and an outer separating wall fluidly dividing a first exhaust line in direct fluidic communication with a first cylinder and a second exhaust line in direct communication with a second cylinder, a lateral width of the inner separating wall greater than the outer separating wall, the lateral axis perpendicular to a longitudinal axis traversing centerlines of each cylinder.
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing heated fuel to a fuel injector of an engine are provided. According to the approaches described herein, adequate cold-start fuel atomization may be provided without compromising driver satisfaction due to excessive pre-ignition delay, while at the same time reducing unnecessary heating of fuel during warm engine off conditions.
