    Abstract: A system for producing a customized skin care product in less than five minutes includes active ingredient premixes, premix dispensers respectively operable to dispense a predefined quantity of the active ingredient premixes by a single dispenser operation, skin care product bases, product base dispensers respectively operable to dispense a predefined quantity of the skin care product bases by a single dispenser operation, and instructions executable by a processor to receive data indicative of a customer's skin condition and generate a recipe for producing a customized skin care product containing specified percentages by weight of two or more active ingredients suited for the customer's skin condition. The recipe defines a number of operations of one or more of the premix dispensers and one of the product base dispensers. The system further includes a mixing machine operable to mix the contents of a closed container filled in accordance with the recipe.

    Abstract: Apparatus and process for separating particles of wollastonite ore and other aspect ratio materials into a relatively high aspect ratio constituent and a relatively low aspect ratio constituent includes an initial step of either size reducing (2) the material into particles of the aspect ratio material having a size less than a preselected maximum size or alternatively providing such particles of the aspect ratio material. The particles of the aspect ratio material are then separated (4) into a plurality of particle streams based on particle size such that each particle stream is formed substantially from particles within a particular range of particle sizes. Then, the particles in at least one particle stream are sorted (6) based on particle shape into the relatively high and relatively low aspect ratio constituents. The particle separation step (4) is preferably performed using mesh screening apparatus. The shape sorting step (6) is preferably performed using apparatus for separating grain.

    Abstract: A wheeled machine for applying marking tape in strips to a roadway surface from a spool supply including a manually movable pulling wheel which can be lowered to force the free end of the tape against the roadway surface. A cutting blade moves with the pulling wheel but is only operable to sever the tape, when a stationary cutter bar is moved into position beneath the tape. A finishing wheel on the machine smooths out the applied tape. Controls for the pulling wheel and cutter bar are by a bell crank mounted on the machine handle bars working through a flexible cable.
