Patents Assigned to Forest-Line
  • Patent number: 8256485
Abstract: The invention comprises separating the strippings of a strip of paper and of a precut prepreg into strippings to be discarded and blanks to be kept using a suction roller that is tangent to the strip along an action line. In a downstream position, a device collects the blanks on said rectilinear path, and a device closer to the roller discharges the strippings. The paper runs through the device along said rectilinear path while maintaining the blanks thereon, and a strip temporary diversion device, capable of orthogonal movement relative to the strip, temporarily diverts the strip and brings it closer to the roller in order to facilitate the initial peeling of the strippings.

  • Patent number: 8127819
Abstract: A lay-up head receives a prepreg bonded to a support tape, and the prepreg is separated from its support tape by peeling, by means of a separator just upstream of a depositing member for depositing the prepreg tape on a deposition tool; the head includes, downstream of the separator, a retractable device for moving the prepreg away from the support tape, allowing the prepreg to be moved away just upstream of the separator, by means of which the prepreg can be separated earlier when the retractable device is activated.

  • Patent number: 4842684
Abstract: An apparatus for use in the industry of shaping a sheet of fibres on a mould for the manufacture of a range of articles such as aircraft wings, in which a sheet or ribbon of glued or adhesive sized fibres is automatically shaped on the mould, the apparatus having an applicator (16) for engaging the fibre elements (7) on the mould (2) and, at a place immediately upstream, a wedge-shaped element (19) having a rounded edge and adapted to separate the top protective film (8) from the fibres prior to their engagement with the mould, and a slot (18) sized to the width of the film and operative to remove the same and to provide accurate guiding of the fibres immediately thereafter engaged on the mould.

  • Patent number: 4657453
Abstract: The invention relates to a milling device with universal gear and automatic indexation, removably mounted on a milling head bearing a machining spindle, comprising a main body mounted on the milling head and capable of occupying several positions of indexation with respect to said head by rotation about an axis XX.sub.1 lying in line with the axis of the spindle of the milling head, said main body laterally bearing a spindle-holder unit capable of occupying several positions of indexation with respect to the main body by rotation about an axis YY.sub.1 perpendicular to axis XX.sub.1, the spindle of the unit itself being perpendicular to axis YY.sub.1, wherein the spindle of the milling head is connected to the spindle of the spindle-holder unit by a kinematic chain comprising a shaft or sleeve disposed along axis YY.sub.
