Abstract: A recreational travel trailer includes a chassis and a body supported by the chassis. The body includes a side wall that forms an opening, and a slide out assembly is movably coupled to the body or chassis. The slide out assembly includes an outer wall forming an outer periphery of the slide out assembly and at least one trim member coupled to the outer periphery of the slide out assembly. The slide out assembly moves between a closed position and an open position relative to the opening in the side wall. A seal assembly is coupled within a notch formed in the side wall. The seal assembly is disposed in a compressed state when the slide out assembly moves to a closed position.
Abstract: A recreational fifth wheel travel trailer includes a frame, a wheel for supporting the frame on a ground surface, and a body supported by the frame. The body has a length defined between a front end and a rear end of the body. A roof is coupled to the body, and an interior space is defined in the body between a floor and the roof. The travel trailer includes a door for providing entry to the interior space, a step for gaining access to the floor of the interior space, and a storage compartment at least partially formed by the body. The storage compartment is located below the floor of the interior space. The floor is defined along a plane from the rear end of the body to a location near the front end thereof such that the interior space is accessible without traversing more than a single step.

Abstract: A sleeping unit for a vehicle having at least one side wall includes a first wall located inside the vehicle and spaced apart from the side wall of the vehicle, a second wall, a combined seating and sleeping unit and a retractable sleeping unit. The combined seating and sleeping unit has a first section and a second section and is movable from a first configuration in which the first and second sections are generally perpendicular to one another to a second configuration in which the first and second sections are generally parallel to one another. The retractable sleeping unit is movable from a first position in which it is located in the space between the first wall and the side wall of the vehicle to a second position in which it is located outside the space between the first wall and the side wall of the vehicle.

Abstract: A method of making a RV and a RV made thereby having a plurality of compartments whose floorspace ratio can be selectively altered according to the usage status of the vehicle without increasing the total floorspace footprint by internal movement of structural features and user fixtures normally supported on the vehicle floorspace. For example, an RV can be made wherein the relative position of a dividing wall between compartments is movable with respect to those compartments and, at the same time, a seating fixture within one compartment can be moved along the floor between optimizable positions according to the usable floor space within that compartment.
