Abstract: A swimming pool cleaner has a housing. The housing has an intake formed on a bottom section thereof. The intake runs along a width of the bottom section of the housing. A first rolling flap is proximate the intake. The first rolling flap is approximately equal in length to a length of the intake. The first rolling flap runs along the width of the bottom section and is hingly coupled to the bottom section of the housing along a front edge of the intake. The first rolling flap follows a contour of a surface of a swimming pool upon which the swimming pool cleaner is traveling upon to control a water flow into the intake.
