  • Patent number: 6696915
Abstract: A knob having a button for a rheostat includes a base, at least one arcuate contacts, a hub, a pushbutton cap with a conductive arc corresponding to the arcuate contacts and a biasing member mounted in the pushbutton cap. The biasing member can be mounted between the pushbutton cap and the hub or the base to make the pushbutton cap return to its original position when pressure on the pushbutton cap is released. A rotating shaft of a rheostat extends out from the base and connects to the hub. The pushbutton cap is mounted on the hub to turn the hub and the rotating shaft to change resistance of the rheostat.

  • Publication number: 20030236153
Abstract: An adjusting device for a tread board of a treadmill has an actuating device, a transmission device and a connecting member. The actuating device is pivotally connected to a bottom of the tread board. The transmission device is connected to the actuating device. The connecting member is connected to the transmission device with a first end and has a second end pivotally attached to the tread board. The connecting member has a middle point pivotally attached to a stand. Accordingly, the actuating device and the transmission device can actuate the connecting member to rotate relative to the stand, and the angle of the tread board relative to the ground is adjusted. Because the transmission device can pivotally rotate relative to the tread board, a large force will not be applied to the transmission device. Consequently, the load bearing of the transmission device is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20030216225
Abstract: A control device for a treadmill having a dual-purpose electronic element having a panel and a control circuit formed in the panel. The control circuit basically includes a controller, driving unit connected between the controller and a motor and a speed control and switch unit connected between the controller and the driving unit. The speed control and switch unit has at least two functions which are adjusting the speed of the motor and immediately stopping the rotation of the motor. Therefore the control device not only saves at least one electronic element for the control circuit but the panel has more space.

  • Publication number: 20030036463
Abstract: A transportation wheel for a treadmill consists a roller and an engraved pattern defined in an outer surface the roller. The roller has an enlarged middle portion and two tapered ends on which a traveling belt is positioned. The engraved patterns are similar to fabric texture and defined on the outer surface of the roller, especially the enlarged middle portion. The engraved patterns provide an excellent guiding efficiency to keep the traveling belt from detaching from the roller.

  • Publication number: 20030027691
Abstract: An angle-adjusting device for a treadmill is composed of two attachment blocks (11) respectively secured at a certain position at two sides of the belt frame of the treadmill and two polygonal feet (20) corresponding to the attachment blocks (11). Each polygonal foot (20) is rotatably attached to the attachment block (11) and directly engages the attachment block (11). Therefore, the belt frame (10) is immovably combined with the polygonal feet (20) to ensure the treadmill has less vibration during operation.
