Patent number: 10415905Abstract: A pistol is provided, on the plastic housing of which a sliding carriage containing the barrel is guided in the longitudinal direction, which housing has a trigger guard at the transition to a grip stock, and in which housing a locking block is arranged; for an especially light embodiment that is simple to manufacture and nevertheless robust, the locking block forms a unit with the guiding elements of the sliding carriage, which unit is arranged in front of the magazine well and extends forward as far as the trigger guard, as a result of which the guide length is shortened. The locking block is fixed in the housing by a front cross pin and a rear cross pin and accommodates a locking bolt approximately over the second cross pin.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2016Date of Patent: September 17, 2019Assignee: FORJAS TAURUS S.A.Inventor: Wilhelm Bubits

Patent number: 9766028Abstract: A cylinder impeller for revolvers, which transmits the trigger pulling movement to a cylinder revolving movement. The impeller includes a cover having inside it a track; a one-piece body having a plate and a slider, said slider being able to slide within and relative to the cover; and a spring arranged between the body slider and the surface of the cover track. Therefore, the cover and the body slide one relative to the other and against the spring action, thus varying the overall length of the impeller and compensating and absorbing possible teeth machining variations of the cylinder extractor.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2016Date of Patent: September 19, 2017Assignee: Forjas Taurus S.A.Inventors: Jamir Pagnoncelli, Juliano Batista Bisotto, André Machado De Magalhäes

Patent number: 9316452Abstract: Provided is a revolver with a two chambers cylinder, of the type having a low profile and with no protruding parts from the frame. The revolver includes a frame which has a grip at its rear portion, a trigger at its lower portion and a barrel at its front portion. The frame further includes a central opening that defines the cylinder housing. The cylinder has an oblong shape and has two chambers, radially opposite with respect to the rotation axis of the cylinder. The cylinder rotation before firing is obtained by means of the trigger actuation, which causes an upward movement of the cylinder impeller and the consequent rotation of the gear, due to interaction between the pinion and the teeth of the cylinder impeller. The transfer of the rotational movement of the gear to the cylinder is made from a ratchet, which is partially arranged within said cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2015Date of Patent: April 19, 2016Assignee: Forjas Taurus S.A.Inventor: Anderson da Silva Assis

Publication number: 20060168867Abstract: Hammer disarmer for rifles, constituted of a cylindrical pin lodged in the hammer itself having an operable protruding head over the curved upper surface of the hammer spur, going downwards through a cylindrical portion provided with a frontal plane recess, within which a positioning transverse pin limiting the movements of the disarming axle operates, over which a small return spring lodged within the hole of the hammer also actuates, said hole whose diameter decreases downwards, lodging and guiding the whole elongated portion of the disarmer until its edge emerges from the lower plane face of the hammer, where it actuates the disarming lever. If the hammer is armed, a thumb pressure on the actuation head, is sufficient to release the hammer disarmer, which is pushed by the corresponding spring to an interrupted rotation when fitted to the trigger, before the position of percussion. If the hammer is disarmed, it can be simply armed with the thumb to fire the gun, pulling the trigger when desired.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2004Publication date: August 3, 2006Applicant: Forjas Taurus S.A.Inventor: Ingo Neumann

Patent number: 6862830Abstract: Safety device for guns which can be activated by a special key, which is incorporated to the hammer in gun models in which the hammer just protrudes from its lodging slot in the frame, being constituted by a safety acting by direct obstruction of the movement of the gun hammer, with the purpose to avoid accidents when the gun is handled by other persons than the owner which has a special key.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2003Date of Patent: March 8, 2005Assignee: Forjas Taurus S.A.Inventor: Jamir Pagnoncelli

Patent number: 4539770Abstract: A pressable magazine latch for semiautomatic pistols adaptable for use by either right or left-handed persons includes a guide-tube anchored wihtin the pistol frame which contains a displaceable rigidly connected two-part latch member therewithin. A spring normally maintains the latch member engaged with the magazine and presents a latch member button projecting beyond one end face of the guide-tube. Despressing this button substantially flush with the adjacent guide-tube end wall releases the latch from the magazine while further axial displacement of the latch member allows subsequent disassembly of the two latch parts to permit re-assembly thereof in a reverse position within the guide-tube.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 1983Date of Patent: September 10, 1985Assignee: Forjas Taurus S.A.Inventor: Jose C.
