    Abstract: The present invention discloses a collapsible side panel structure of a roof panel, set upon the outermost rod of the roof panel and includes at least one first base unit; at least one second base unit; a fastener; and a side panel. With the implementation of the present invention, the side panel can be raised and fixed securely to contain and protect small objects or luggage, or the side panel can be set flat on the roof panel and fixed securely to contain larger or wider objects. Together with the invention of the axis deviation between the rotation axis of the side panel and the axis of the first and second through holes, the side panel can be really set flat on or set vertically standing on the roof panel.

The braking mechanism includes a rotational sleeve connected to the torsional spring and a one-way ratchet.

The base has an upwardly projected threaded stem which extends through the compression spring and the supporting seat into the adjusting nut such that the compression spring and the supporting seat are assembled to the base to form an integral unit. Turning the adjusting nut changes the height of the supporting seat relative to the base, prevent the sunshade from striking articles on the mounting deck.

There is a detachable pedal piece, of which the front side is to be pedalled by a driver, while the back side thereof is fixedly attached with a plurality of Velcro strips corresponding in number and position to the slots in the aforesaid base plate; by means of such a structure, the pedal piece can directly be fastened together as one piece with the base plate of the foot pad in an automobile. Whenever the pedal piece becomes worn and torn, it can be replaced with a new one without replacing the whole foot pad at a higher cost so as to improve the drawbacks of the conventional foot pad.
