Abstract: A fluid control device includes a fluid pipe section including a fluid inlet and outlet connectable in series to a fluid pipe. A fluid valve is coupled in series within the fluid pipe section separating a fluid inlet and outlet side and controlling a fluid flow. An electric motor is mechanically connected to the fluid valve. A temperature sensor is connected to the fluid pipe section monitoring a temperature of the fluid flow. A pressure sensor is connected to the fluid pipe section monitoring a pressure of the fluid flow. A flow rate sensor is connected to the fluid pipe section monitoring a flow rate of the fluid flow. A control device processor is electrically connected to the electric motor and electrically connected to the sensors. A communication device coupled to the control device processor is for wirelessly connecting to a remotely disposed fluid monitoring and control system.

Abstract: The present application discloses electronic plumbing fixture fittings, such as electronic faucets, with a shaped and limited sensor detection zone. Exemplary embodiments include devices with a plurality of overlapping sensors and devices with a single time-of-flight (TOF) sensor capable of detecting the presence or absence of an object whether or not water is flowing out of a discharge outlet in the in a TOF detection zone.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic plumbing fixture fitting including a learning system and a reference system. The electronic plumbing fixture fitting includes a user input module and a processor. The user input module includes a mechanism to receive from the user numerical value(s) of parameter(s) for water to be delivered through a discharge outlet of the electronic plumbing fixture fitting (e.g., a temperature) and a mechanism to deliver to the user the numerical value(s) of the parameter(s) via the water delivered through the discharge outlet of the electronic plumbing fixture fitting. Additionally, the processor includes a mechanism to learn a range of the numerical value(s) of the parameter(s) from a minimum value of the parameter to a maximum value of the parameter (e.g., from a lowest achievable temperature to a highest achievable temperature).

Abstract: A turbine wheel used in a turbine flow meter includes a hub configured to be freely rotatably fixed in position inside a fluid pipe section. A first cylindrical rim is centered about the hub and the longitudinal axis and spaced a distance apart from the hub. A first vane set extends outwardly from the hub to the first cylindrical rim, wherein a root of each vane of the first vane set is attached to the hub and a tip of each vane of the first vane set is attached to the first cylindrical rim. The first vane set may consist of one or two individual vanes. An external vane set may extend outwardly from the first cylindrical rim, wherein a root of each vane is attached to the first cylindrical rim and a tip of each vane is not attached to any cylindrical rim.

Abstract: An electronic pressure and temperature sensor includes a chamber disposed within a housing. The pressure and temperature sensor are disposed at a chamber first end. An opening is disposed at a chamber second end, wherein the opening is configured to be in fluidic communication with the fluid media. A viscous gel is disposed within a portion of the chamber and encloses the pressure and temperature sensor apart from the fluid media. A second temperature sensor is at least partially disposed within the housing and is not disposed within the chamber. The first temperature sensor is configured to measure a temperature of the viscous gel, where the temperature of the viscous gel configured for use in temperature compensation calculations used to determine the pressure of the fluid media. The second temperature sensor is configured to measure a temperature of the flow of the fluid media.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disposal splash guard that enables water flowing into the disposal splash guard to be directed through peripheral openings in the disposal splash guard. The disposal splash guard comprises a body and a baffle. A size of the peripheral openings is operable to direct water flowing into the disposal splash guard through the peripheral openings in the baffle. At least one of a shape of the body and a shape of the baffle is operable to direct water flowing into the disposal splash guard through the peripheral openings in the baffle. At least one of a size of the peripheral openings, a shape of the body, and a shape of the baffle is operable to direct at least ten percent of water flowing into the disposal splash guard through the peripheral openings in the baffle.
