Patent number: 12079275Abstract: Systems and methods for providing access to vehicle videos are provided. An example system may include a plurality of cameras and an electronic device associated with a vehicle. The electronic device can continuously record a plurality of videos captured by the plurality of cameras, periodically generate, based on the plurality of videos, snapshot images including image metadata, and upload the snapshot images to a remote computing system. The remote computing system can render the snapshot images for view and selection by a user and receive, from the user, a selection of a snapshot image of the snapshot images. In response to the user selection, the remote computing system can select, based on the image metadata associated with the selected snapshot image, a video from the plurality of videos and play back a portion of the video stored on the electronic device.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2020Date of Patent: September 3, 2024Assignee: Forward Thinking Systems, LLCInventors: David Isler, Stuart Lowenstein

Patent number: 11636369Abstract: A method for electronic logging of carrier data is described. The logged electronic carrier data is utilized to predict a likelihood of occurrence of a potential impending compliance rule violation. A plurality of travel conditions capable of changing a transit period, such as weather, traffic, and construction are monitored, aggregated, and used to determine a predicted likelihood of changing the transit period. The likelihood of occurrence of a compliance rule violation is determined, based on the aggregated values, the predicted likelihood of changing the transit period, and a group of compliance rules. An indicator of the likelihood of occurrence of a compliance rule violation may be generated, and presented to any number of electronic devices. Remedial actions to avoid or mitigate the compliance rule violation may be suggested.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2019Date of Patent: April 25, 2023Assignee: Forward Thinking Systems, LLCInventors: David Isler, Stuart Lowenstein

Patent number: 10423886Abstract: A method for electronic logging of carrier data is described. The method includes monitoring a vehicle motion status for a predetermined period and assigning a logical state to at least one duty status variable. Remedial actions to avoid or mitigate the compliance rule violation may be suggested.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2017Date of Patent: September 24, 2019Assignee: Forward Thinking Systems, LLCInventors: David Isler, Stuart Lowenstein

Patent number: 10134285Abstract: A system and method for integrating a vehicular camera system is disclosed. A threshold value for metadata of one or more sensor devices and the vehicular camera system positioned in a first carrier vehicle is determined. Captured metadata is processed to determine whether the threshold value is exceeded, and a plurality of images is captured by one or more cameras of the vehicular camera system for a predetermined period, in response to exceeding the threshold value for metadata of the one or more sensor devices. The plurality of metadata is linked with each image from the plurality of captured images by matching the collection time of the metadata with the collection time for each image from the plurality of captured images, and a first image selected from the plurality of captured images is communicated along with the metadata linked to the first image, to at least one electronic device.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2017Date of Patent: November 20, 2018Assignee: Forward Thinking Systems, LLCInventors: David Isler, Stuart Lowenstein
