Abstract: A workout sensing system for collecting and transmitting strength training related data from components embedded within a sleeve of a strength training device such as a barbell, lat bar, or close grip seated row bar. The strength training device tracks metrics including load, repetitions, sets, power, velocity, force, and form. The workout sensing system is comprised of hardware and software that may enable a cloud based platform to analyze a user's strength training data so the user may track and optimize their strength performance in the weight room.
