Abstract: A fingermark enhancement apparatus comprising a chamber, the chamber comprising a sealable space for accommodating at least a portion of an object comprising a fingermark. The apparatus further comprising a fluid transfer device for providing at least one fingermark enhancement fluid to the chamber, the fluid transfer device comprising a fluid inlet connectable to a source of fingermark enhancement fluid, and a fluid outlet configured to provide the fingermark enhancement fluid to the chamber, and wherein the fluid transfer device is configured to provide the fingermark enhancement fluid to the chamber in at least one of: gaseous, vapour or aerosol form.
